Dr. Haemi Choi, MD

I saw Dr. Choi and she is wonderful. So pleasant, caring, very thorough and knowledgeable. I feel very good in being in her care. She's one of the best. She even contacted me in an email to make sure I continue to see a certain doctor. Thank you, Dr. Choi! I've been going to Loyola for over 40 years, so I know a good doctor when I see one.

I suffered from a calf injury 3yrs ago that had me on crutches. I was so worried it would require surgery but she ordered an MRI where we found out it was only a tear that was resolved with PT. I liked her so much that I asked if she could be my PCP and she said yes! Saw her a couple weeks ago and she addressed all of my concerns, ordered all the necessary tests and then some. She’s really nice, and I appreciate that she doesn’t waste time in trying to figure out options and really listens to concerns.

I saw Dr. Choi a number of years ago thru my Loyola network - I had been having terrible R groin pain, with subsequent difficulty walking. I could not remember an injury but had spent a month walking around Rome prior. I'm a RN, but just wasn't sure what was going on. I knew it was more than a pulled muscle because it was not healing. Dr. Choi was abrupt, cut me off and sent me quickly out the door with a Physical Therapy prescription. I cried. I saw another Loyola orthopedic doc who diagnosed impingement, extensive arthritis and a labral tear, bad enough to require surgery. I then discovered that groin pain is a hallmark symptom of a labral tear. She never mentioned that possibility or ordered an MRI, X-ray or CT scan. And... PT made the pain a LOT worse. I do not recommend Dr Choi.
