Good doctor, but…
I had been going to Dr. Parikh for some years, and she really is a very good doctor. the only problem is that she cuts you off every time you try to explain things to her. She talks over you. It has always bothered me, I never get to finish what I’m saying because she jumps right into another thing. And that’s not easy for me, because I forget what I’m going to say.

This review is for patients with unique thyroid issues. She told me the current dosage of T4 & T3 meds i am on is too high & said she could not see me or discuss my other hormonal issues unless I cut one medication in half. Explained i don’t function well without a high dosage of meds and a suppressed TSH, and asked if she would consider raising either Medication if i felt WORSE after following her instructions for two months? A: No; only consider brand name switches. I asked if she thought some have T4 conversion issues. No response. End suggestion was to look at my diet and exercise and talk to a nutritionist for my weight loss issues (not losing weight, energy levels ok) and was willing to offer an injectable weight loss drug! Did not respond to my current diet & exercise plan that should show weight loss. I did not feel she was open to treating my symptoms instead of my labs. She was primarily concerned with my suppressed TSH and did not discuss anything else really.

I walked into Dr. Parikh’s office nervous about my diabetes and left feeling like she would help me finally get it under control. She was warm, thoughtful and thorough. She explained what I needed to know about managing my diabetes and put me at ease about best treatments. Most of all, Dr. Parikh is knowledgeable about her discipline. Fantastic bedside manner! I’m grateful I made a good decision about my health care by choosing her.

The first time I called, the receptionist said "Please hold" before I could say anything, and put me on hold for six minutes while I heard muffled people in the background. I thought they forgot about me so I hung up and called back. It went to voicemail the three times I tried to call back. Then they picked up again and put me on hold again and then the call ended before I even got to say anything to them. I guess I'm not allowed to get my test results back after two weeks.

I was referred to Dr. Parikh by another Endocrinologist and I could not be happier. She was sensitive, thorough, and professional- all attributes you desire in a doctor- to my condition and in my situation. I trust and have great faith in her as a result. This is a relationship I hope to maintain and would highly recommend her to those in need of an excellent Endocrinologist.

I found Dr. Parihk to be caring and knowledgeable. She provided with lots of information about what could be wrong, the assessment plan and delineated the possible treatment plans. I thought that she was wonderful. Because of my ailments, I have many doctors and have had so many in the past. She stands out.
