Absolutely!
Dr. Steinmetz in my opinion is a highly competent medical doctor. I am a male, 65 year old and I had been a patient of his for about 5 years. He always impressed me as an adept diagnostician unlike my previous PCP and I always felt Dr. Steinmetz had my best interests in mind. He worked with me in to achieve successful treatment goals and I never felt rushed despite a busy practice and he always responded with urgency and empathy to my concerns. You might even say that he saved my life: I presented with neck and shoulder pain that I thought was sleeping posture or exertion related...he recommended a stress echo and next thing you know...I am alive and well albeit with 4 coronary stents. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Dedicated Genuine genius at body mechanics
Dr Steinmetz has been mine and my children practitioner for over a decade now. He has a calming voice and demeanor good listener. When The kids were little I could bring all three kids at once and be seen(before covid). Myself with my hyper verbal complaints and my toddler and infant did not phase him in the least. As a person who has incurred many injuries and seen many specialists. Dr Steinmetz always has been correct about with his diagnosis. He treats his patient as a whole. Dr Steinmetz also has for years understood the connection of adhered childhood Experiences and how they connect to your physical symptoms. He is encouraging and conservative and curious and modest. He offers the best alternatives to home health healing. Such as printed physical therapy exercises, information about treating certain disorders. The most recent home health aid he recommended was an app called curable. I trust my doctor. I feel safe and in a judgement free place where I am heard. So grateful !

I have been a patient of Dr. Steinmetz for several years. I am a 60 year old male with pre-existing conditions. I have had annual physical exams for more than 40 years. Prior to Dr. Steinmetz, my doctor would conduct an EKG, digital rectal exam (DRE) and order lab work each year. At my annual physical exam in 2020, Dr. Steinmetz did not conduct an EKG or order any lab work at all. Dr. Steinmetz only conducted a DRE at my insistence. Prior to my 2021 annual physical exam, I asked Dr. Steinmetz to order lab work and obtain the results before seeing me. Dr. Steinmetz informed me that the tests and lab work were not medically necessary. I informed him that I did not know a single person whose doctor did not perform an EKG, DRE or order lab work annually - let alone two years in a row. Dr. Steinmetz found my questioning insulting and instructed me to find a new doctor. If you are interested in identifying medical conditions at an early stage, I suggest not using Dr. Steinmetz.

very nice, BUT the wait is SUPER LONG and this doctor thinks he can cure everything himself- he does not like it when you as for a referral - a medical megalomaniac.

Dr. Steinmetz is a warm and caring human being and a compassionate, considerate physician. He works very hard for his patients and has to put up with the likes of me besides! He treats both my wife of 45 years and me and has never failed to be courteous and considerate even when I, with bipolar giftedness (!) might try his patience! When I told him I had considered going into medicine he replied that I certainly had the intelligence! Yes, we maniacs do tend to be quite bright! Thank you, thank you, thank you Dr. Steinmetz! You are exactly the kind of physician I would have aspired to become! Rev. Eirene A. Chara, D. D.

I saw the doctor for several years, and was disappointed time and again. It didn't seem there was much interest in my health, and the primary focus was on making money. Frequent appointments were pushed, and an attempt was made for the same referral more than once. Maybe he did all he could; however, I didn't get the impression there was much communication from him or his staff as to the status of my health. I felt left in the dark. One summer, I was told along with others I needed to attend at least two $50 per hour presentations by some "medical"person in the waiting room after hours. Attendance was mandatory. Dr. Kurzer was in on it, too. It seemed like a blatant money grab. I recently obtained another primary care doctor; otherwise, I would have left this review earlier.

Dr Steinmetz has ben my doctor since he joined the practice. Dr S. was born to be a physician! He's a good listener as well as a gifted diagnostician. He's very cerebral and listens more than he talks, which is why he's such a good doctor. Dr S is also a very good teacher with the various students that pass thru the practice. In reference to an older comment posted by an individual, Primary care is very demanding, non-lucrative field of medicine. We are blessed when we find a good doctor!

Do not go to this practice. Patient care is not their top priority, profits are. As a doctor and professor at Johns Hopkins who has been a partner in his own care for a decade, I only saw a nurse practitioner who patronized me, and put off my seeing the physician for three months -- and I have chronic conditions. I walked out rather than continue. Avoid them.

Dr Steinmetz is very responsive to questions and provides information on topics discussed. He has a very "human" approach and treats me like a person he cares about, not just another patient. I am happy to have found him in my local area. The office staff is generally very helpful and attentive. the patient portal is very user friendly and informative. Information is updated in a very timely manner.
