Outstanding Surgeon
Dr. Smaroff performed my CABG surgery in March of 2022. He is really an experienced and highly skilled surgeon and is thankfully a good communicator as well. Both my wife and I appreciated his straight- forward, down to earth approach at our scheduling appointment where he both calmed our nerves and answered all of our questions. He had also assembled an excellent team at Lahey and I was sorry to learn he had left the system. Thanks to Dr. Smaroff's skills and abilities I have my life back. He's a great surgeon and a terrific guy as well.

Dr. Smaroff performed a triple bypass surgery on me in September of 2020. I am alive today thanks to him and his team. His bedside manner put me at ease and his work ethic was something to marvel at. He answered all my questions with patience and a sincere concern for all my health issues. I am so thankful that he has helped my back to a healthy lifestyle !!!

Dr. Smaroff performed a double CABG on me January 5, 2018. Today is post op day 4 and I feel great! The pain is minimal requiring only Tylenol and the incision site is a small think line that should heal nicely. Dr. Smaroff has a calm and confident bedside manner. The last words he said to me in pre-op was, “Don’t worry. I will take the very good care of you!” Did that with his hand on my shoulder and a confident look that made me relax and put complete trust is he and his team.

June 2015 my husband was advised to immediately schedule surgery for 1 bypass followed (the next day) by 3 to 4 stints. Something went horribly wrong. He spent the next 2 weeks in ICU on a breathing tube. Eventually died in Oct. I feel strongly that there was a rush to surgery, and am not sure that this Dr., took all of the medical history, which included 2 organ transplants, and multiple organ failures into account, before recommending these invasive procedures.
