Seven weeks ago I had a case of serious left leg and knee pain. I went to Dr. Rubin and he xrayed my left knee and diagnosed as a Bursa joint injury. At that visit he injected my bursa joint. He also provided me with a menu of other treatments, many not covered by insurance which he was happy to sell me if my pain persisted. Recently I began to experience the same pain again on the left side of my hip and leg. I could not even get an appt with Rubin for another 5 days, even though I had been an existing patient. So I was told to go to NCH emergency walk in clinic, which is part of the same group. I described my severe pain down lower back, hips, outer knee, legs. At this point I could hardly stand and support my own weight. The best they could do was have his PA see me, despite my continued requests to see Rubin. The PA asked me where the pain was and took several guesses as to what might be causing the pain. She then concluded that it could be my S1 joint and proceeded to r

Dr. Rubin explained his diagnosis thoroughly and spent time answering my questions. He really cared. I was able to get an appointment with him quickly which was really appreciated.

Pros: This was my first time here but Dr. Rubin made sure that I understood what was going on with me and offered to me some advice on how to handle it. I received two injections and I stated to him that I’m a flincher and I only flinched once but over all it was a great experience. I would recommend him to anyone Cons: there’s really not any but more medicine because my pain was back the next day. I’m not sure if the medicine was mixed but I’ve had these shots before and they lasted me years. It could be the weather but I’m not to sure on that issue

Saw Dr Rubin for the first time as a new patient on Dec. 22, 2022. My previous ortho physician stopped doing hyuralonic knee injections. Seeing him for the first time, I was expecting that I would need to come in for a second visit - but no- he and his office staff were very kind and efficient. The reception staff were very kind and welcoming. I was called in on time, Then met Corey, his athletic trainer, also terrific. He said I would need Xrays, thought I would need to book those, but Luis knocked on the exam room door, and took me to Xrays! Xrays now done, back to the exam room. Dr Rubin had already reviewed them. He came into the exam room, went over my history and xrays, said the could do the bilateral knee injections that day- which he did under ultrasound. Immediately my knee mobility improved. Can not say enough about how wonderful had and his staff were. Also, I was able to book my next injection with his office for 6 months following this appt.
