We never got to make a visit for my son who has a 10 mm kidney stone and has urination issues and acute pain. Made an appointment with his office after being referred by the ER of the hospital, only to have my son called back to confirm his appointment and insurance and to tell him that my insurance from a Big 10 University (major big-10-#2 ranked mind-you but I cannot name it due to policy) was not something they accepted. She laughed at him, cancelled his appointment and hung up the phone. I called back to confirm and was told that Ohio Health had to accept whatever insurance the patient submitted in the ER but that did not mean that their physicians accepted the same insurance. I am highly offended as this was his first attempt to schedule a doctor's appointment on his own as a young adult, and a significant one at that, and this was the "compassionate" response from the physicians office. Don't laugh at young adults taking their first steps for health wellness, and be civil.

Very bad and horrible experience I visited Dr Knudson for Kidney stones problem based on his overall high experience. He has scheduled me for a surgery. They have failed to complete the surgery after doing the surgery for 2hrs. Dr Knudson said it was all Radiologist problem who performed first portion of surgery and not ready to discuss the problems/complications in surgery. He has performed an alternative surgery again in the afternoon and still not even able to dust the stone but just broke the minor portion of stone into small chips rather than dust which caused more problem of spreading the stone pieces in kidney. After a week followup he again suggested to go for another procedure which also need to be repeated multiple times. I had a horrible overall experience with him. Finally I changed this Dr Knudson and visited another Urologist who performed the successful surgery which was failed initially with Knudson and team. Overall a very bad and horrible experience.

Very bad and horrible experience – Sep 19, 2019

Very disappointed. I don't have health insurance, was referred to him by Grady Memorial referral service. I have a cyst on my kidney's i brought in my CT Scan, he took my cash payment of $189, patted me on the front and back, then said my cyst didn't needed to be treated. He also questioned Mount carmel's ct scan said it could be a stone, and sent me home. I'm now seeking a second opinion from OSU. Mt Carmel told me I needed the cyst drained or removed. Completely confused!!!

Let me first say that I am a medical professional, so I do have knowledge of how things should be done. Upon my visit, I was asked to give a sample...when I looked for towelettes in order to remove any trace bacteria, none were found. I asked the nurse if they wanted a clean catch (which is what it is called) she just chuckled and walked away. Dr Knudson was rude, arrogant & threw his pen down and declared "Well, I don't know what is wrong with you!" Gave me an Rx for an antibiotic and left.
