What I like about Dr Hanson is how thoroughly he discusses his diagnosis with you so you can be informed and then he lets you make the decisions. His philosphy of health care is much like the small town doctor's I grew up with. I also like that everytime I go to see a specialist and they find out who my doctor is they say "He's reall smart"

A specialist was impressed w D Hansons' plan
I had a relatively complicated diagnosis and visited a specialist at UT Southwestern. The specialist looked at the treatment plan created by Dr Hanson and said 'I'm impressed your internist came up with this protocol.' Dr Hanson is exceptionally thorough and focuses on longevity not just treatments once you are ill.

Slow pulse (27)
I went in with headaches and a slow pulse (27). Following a thorough evaluation, Dr. Hanson personally took me downstairs to admissions, got me processed through and on my way to an ICU bed. The next day I had a pacemaker implanted and the following day was driving myself home and feeling great! Dr Hanson came to my room each evening to check on me and answer my questions. Dr. Hanson is very kind and compassionate. He is thorough with thoughtful attention to detail.

Routine check up appt with my Primary Care Dr.
Another exceptional overall experience with my primary care physician Dr Gregory Hanson during my recent routine check up appt. His office / facility is always a clean, safe and inviting environment. Like always, Dr Hanson was very professional, easy to work with and talk to, good at answering any questions I might have. Dr Hanson and his Staff / Team are a pleasure to work with. They truly care about the overall well being of all their patients. My wife and I are fortunate and blessed to have Dr Hanson, Victoria & Stephanie as our Primary Care Physician & Team.

My parents started seeing Dr Hanson in 2004 until they passed 10 years later. My husband, daughter, son in law, son in laws parents, and my in laws all go to him also. We have always found him to be very thorough, caring, and trustworthy. We have no complaints and are very pleased with his care and have recommended him to others repeatedly

Dr. Hanson, if I can call him even a doctor is judgmental and will constantly send you to do labwork and refer you to specialists that you will have to do all the work to get anything through his office. I'm going to assume that he gets kickbacks from all these labs and specialists for sending business their way. He's not a good diagnostician at all and refuses to use any of his medical knowledge to actually diagnose in office without sending you through a abattery of tests somewhere else so his hands are clean. Ridiculous. I'm going to suppose he found his medical degree and license in the bottom of a cereal box because that's all he's going to be good for if you show up for an appointment at his office. You can go ahead and save your copay and find a different doctor. He is rude, has zero social skills. If I could give zero stars, I would. He's not worth your time, money, or patience.

Dr. Hanson is an excellent doctor. Dr. Hanson was recommended by another health professional and my husband and I have only had excellent experiences with him and his staff. He is very thorough and provides excellent followup. He doesn't over diagnose, he analyses the situation and provides the best solution. He and his staff have handled very complicated insurance matters and did it very well and timely. He takes the time talk to you and listen. He has recommended health references to help me lose weight and did it very tactfully. He does real well with me, my husband and his friend. When no other doctor took the time to listen to my husband after a major surgery and serious health problems, Dr. Hanson did. He not only helped him health wise, but also became my husband's counselor and helped him deal with the psychological aspects of his disease. He saved my husband's life and mental stability! We highly recommend Dr. Hanson and his staff

I was referred to Dr. Hanson by friends who are long term patients. His pragmatic approach is not for everyone, as he is not going to be prescribing medications without a lot of thought first. He's highly analytical, which I want in an internist. I have walked away from the office with real world applicable treatment protocols and plans that work for my lifestyle. His staff is small, just two people, but both of the women are detailed oriented and friendly. Appointments never feel rushed and he

To start the receptionist is very LAZY and Rude!! Medical assistant is as sweet and helpful as can be ( the one with the accent) love her! The Dr. is very rude and sarcastic!! They send you out for lab and refer you to specialist and YOU ( the patient) have to call and get the results YOURSELF and get them to the doctor (per his receptionist hispanic girl at front desk). I will never refer anyone else to this UNPROFESSIONAL environment. I hate to give them one star they don't deserve that!

Dr. Hanson wasn’t a good match for me. He wanted me to do several outside tests that I felt were extreme for a first time visit Plus he couldn’t do simple blood work in his office. Multiple outside appointments isn’t an option for me, so I decided to move on. Unfortunately my new appointment fell a few weeks after my last prescription refill and Dr. Hanson wouldn’t give me a temporary refill for 2 weeks! I called 3 times and no one returned my call. Unprofessional & unsafe for my blood pressure.

Dr. Hanson has a horrible bedside manner. I understand that doctors are stretched thin these days, but the way he speaks to his patients (at least myself) was unacceptable. Trying to get information or refill from his office is a hassle too.
