Vestibular Nightmare
Dr. Basura dismissed what my previous doctors said. In the span of our 10 minute appointment, he disagreed with two surgeons from other medical centers, failed to know any of my medical background, did not listen to what I had to say, nor did he answer any of my questions. He just wanted to repeat tests that have already been run. I was not impressed at all.

Drop attacks from Meniere’s
Very professional we discussed my options. Wife and I decided to have a labyrinth removed and a cochlear implant. No more vertigo. I have 74 percent hearing in my left ear now. I just wish I could have done it sooner. Thank You Dr.Basura sorry to see you go. Hope it’s on to bigger and better things.

Unprofessional behavior
Scheduled the appointment three months prior. The appointment was to verify and sign off for an upgrade regarding my cochlear implant. I live 62 miles away (Rochester to Ann Arbor). Left at 6:30a to arrive early at 8am. My appointment time of 8:30(EST) but the letter stated to kindly arrive ten minutes early. With construction and two major car accidents this put me behind by exactly fifteen minutes, and he refused to see me. I have been a patient at U of M for twenty nine years. Not once did we have any issues until today! Extremely unprofessional. Any clinic/out patient setting makes patients wait minimum 15-30 minutes, then puts you in a room only to make their patients wait an additional 15-30 minutes before the physician arrives to the room. For him to see me and verify everything would have taken him less than five minutes! I would never recommend this physician or clinic to anyone.

Dr Gregory Joseph Basura
I had an ulcerated cancer in my ear which required my ear to be almost completely re-built. Dr Basura rivaled any plastic surgeon I’ve ever been to with just outstanding results. He was kind, attentive, and his entire staff was absolutely unparalleled! I am utterly thrilled with the surgical results and the fact that it was nearly pain-free was a HUGE plus I’ve never experienced before!! Just an AMAZING physician!!
