Was referred to this doctor regarding stabbing pains in my ear. He said he didn’t see anything wrong and that I was just getting older. Did not recommend any further testing just decided at age 60 I was old and falling apart! But the pains continued, and I knew something was wrong. I mentioned the ear pain to my eye doctor and she requested MRI. Result was a BASEBALL-size brain tumor. Thanks for nothing, Dr. Barkdull. If looking for a good ear nose and throat specialist, I wouldn’t choose this one. Especially if you’re 60 or older.

Horrible communication. Went to him several weeks ago for a CT scan and evaluation. He said he would be referring me to a surgeon for what he called an imminent situation and should be an urgent procedure. He still has not sent the referral. Now I am sitting here scared out of my wits for this unfortunate event he said could happen without surgery. Called several times with the promise of a call back, waiting....

This doctor basically blew me off for an issue with my nose drainage and throat pain I had been having for 6 months. I even brought a CD of a CT scan that my GP had ordered. Not only did the doctor not even view the CD, but the office lost my CD when I asked for it back. They kept saying they had it and then after 4 calls, and a month later, I finally had to go to the hospital medical records to get another copy so I could see a different ENT doctor. I do not recommend this doctor or the staff at his office. Go find someone else!

Dr. Barkdull repaired my punctured ear drum! Excellent results. He explained the procedure in terms I could understand. The surgery was as an out patient at St Joseph which has a caring and professional staff! Dr. Barkdull's staff is very professional and caring.

I had a great experience with everyone that works there except Dr.Burkdall. I just had my tonsils removed. He ignored me after I called multiple times to talk about post-op complications so much that I ended up in the ER. I understand it is the holiday season but I do not feel as though my care should have been compromised due to it being close to Christmas, and if he felt it would be should have let me know so I could wait. I will notrecommend him to any friends or family. Find someone else!

My son is 16 and had his tonsils out with Dr Barkdull. He had a little bleeding a few days afterwards and they got him right in to check it. I was really impressed with the friendly staff and how quick our visits were.

Poor bedside manner, was in a hurry with me and looked in my throat very fast without pushing on the 4 year area of pain to see where it coincided with the interior of my throat. He was trying to get out the door before I had a chance to ask him any more questions. He informed me that he could not see any tumors so I am good to go. Unfortunately he is the only ENT in this area and it took a year to get to see him.

My daughter had a tonsillectomy and our experience with Dr. Barkdull was not good. He had poor bedside manners, lacked compassion when problems presented and didn't communicate effectively.
