Dr. Gray Hilsman, MD

As a current psychiatric intern at Mississippi State Hospital and premedical student who’s closely observed many physicians practice medicine, I’ve never seen a physician who works harder for their patients than Dr. Hilsman. He LISTENS, RELATES, MAINTAINS EYE CONTACT, CREATES NOVEL MEDICATION COMBOS, and NEVER GIVES UP ON A PATIENT! After years of suffering from treatment-resistant OCD, MDD, and debilitating anxiety, Dr. Hilsman helped me turn my life around completely; he took me in as a vegetable and helped me morph into a successful, motivated, and courageous pioneer. Since my experience with him, I’ve been able to finish my degree, and successfully accumulate 100+ hours of premedical internship/shadowing hours in endocrinology, clinical psychiatry, neurology, and forensic psychiatry. If it wasn’t for Dr. Hilsman, then my dreams of becoming a physician would have faded away and left me bedridden for the rest of my life. I’ll forever be grateful for his compassionate care!
