Too long of a wait after driving 70 miles with a one year old. Doctor barely looked at the child and gave no new advice. Regular pediatrician had already given the same advice. Doctor was said to be a pediatric ophthalmologist, however, waiting room was full of elderly people and the doctor did not seem to have any special skills with small children. I'm not sure how a 'doctor' could take a fee for the experience we had.

Dr. Su was referred to my wife as a specialist to deal with a blocked tear duct. We made multiple trips to Springfield to address this issue. The bottom line is that we and our insurance company were billed over $25,000 for surgery that was supposed to open the tear duct. The surgery did not address the issue. The tear duct was no different after the surgery than before.In addition to the unsuccessful surgery, Dr. Su displayed very poor interpersonal skills. He came into the room immediately, discussing the situation at a very fast conversational rate. He made no effort to build any relationship with my wife or myself. Why? Is he over-booking patients, chasing the 'Dollar' rather than providing a quality care? In and out to the next patient. Disappointing!Had the surgery been successful, we could have overlooked the poor interpersonal and conversational skills, but since the surgery was not successful, this whole experience was a failure and greatly disappointing.

Dr. Su is very knowledgeable, he is very experienced and i am grateful to have his expertise in Springfield.

After blepharoplasty surgery in Feb 2024, my field of vision is so much better. Plus, my eyes are more open and brighter. Dr. Su and staff are very professional and proficient. From my consultation to the post-op recovery, I felt confident I was receiving the best care. The pre-op and post-op instructions are detailed and easy to follow. I highly recommend Dr. Su and the Springfield Clinic for any eye surgery.

Dr Su has seen both myself and my family, and has been thorough and informative with each of us. I’d go back again if needed!

This doctor told me I needed surgery, told me what he was going to do and what to expect after surgery. He did something much more invasive (which I did NOT need) and did not tell me after surgery the possible complications. Had I been told, I would have not had the surgery and gotten a second opinion. My my vision is now impaired functionally which will require subsequent surgeries by another eye specialist and I will never completely regain full vision. Also, my eyes are damaged cosmetically which will require yet another surgery to repair. This has been THE most horrible medical experience of my life. Zero communication, zero compassion and zero concern. If you need an Oculoplastic surgeon, find someone in Chicago or St. Louis who can help you, it would be worth the drive.

Dr. Su is very precise, thorough, skillful & kind.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Su. It starts out with an excellent staff that also calls me in ahead of schedule. Dr. Su's demeanor was professional, yet he was very pleasant to talk to. The procedure he performed with local anesthetic was as expected and with no pain. Things went well and I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.
