Unpleasant PCP
The office experience is much like a cattle call. Smug staff that clearly are unsatisfied with their workplace. Let the tech know I sometimes faint or get very lightheaded during blood draws so lying down is preferred. They were very annoyed they had to clear an exam room to accommodate though I had called prior to ensure that was an available method (I could have gone to Quest). The draw was particularly painful. Dr Jones seems to be stretched thin as he was in and out of the room during our visit. Felt inattentive and glossed over my symptoms of hypothyroidism, stating “just lose weight, come back in six months.” It was later confirmed through another Dr indeed, hypothyroidism. It’s not a “fun” experience to go to the doctor, but this environments makes it far worst. If you have options for a PCP, avoid this one.

Dr. Gordon Jones is the worst doctor ever, he’s rude and unprofessional. Upon entering the room he asked why I was there, I mentioned that he used to be my primary a long time ago. He immediately started being rude, asked why I had switched and what made me think he would even take me back, then asked how I got in there (into the room). I said I made an appointment and I started going to the VA full time and then my doctor there died. I asked him if he was kidding and he said no, he was serious, and in fact he didn’t have to accept me as a patient. He then asked what my symptoms were while I was still in shock and I started to give him the list and he stopped me at the first one and told me to be quiet. He was obviously mad at me and not the least bit concerned about my welfare so I excused myself and left. I told the front desk that he wasn’t going to work out for me and they told me not to worry about the copay. At least the office staff is great.
