When the back no longer works!!
I first met with Dr. Chiappetta 5 years ago for my back issues, he advised I exhaust all other avenues of help. I tried them all but nothing had long lasting relief. We finally decided that surgery was required, which I am now recovering from and am doing very well.Dr. Chiappetta and his staff at UOA have been excellent in every aspect of my care.

Excellent Doctor!
Dr. Chiappetta listened to my problems and explained in detail what he could do to help me. He is very confident in what steps he would take and I was at ease knowing that he and his staff were working to make my procedure a successful one.

Great Experience
I suffered horribly from a C3-C4 compression…seeing several other doctors in the past. I made my appointment to see Dr. Chiappetta. The staff was wonderful and jovial…actually acted like they enjoyed their jobs.Meeting the doctor and his assistant for the first time, I handed them my folder of records and past mri’s. They both took time to read what I’ve been through.Doctor ordered another mri and confirmed everything. I repeated my visit with him 2 weeks later and 1 month after the first visit he performed my surgery. He was very clear, explaining the procedure and answering questions each time I saw him. He came very highly recommended to me, I have no problem recommending him as well. My pain is gone and I return to work in 2 weeks.

Arthoplasty Procedure
I had an arthoplasty done where two discs were replaced. The Doctor and his team at University Orthopaedic Associates were helpful and professional throughout the entire process. I feel better than I have in years. Very thankful for the recommendation to come here. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Highly Recommend
The entire surgical team, led by Dr. Chiapetta, was great. He explained my medical problem well, listened, and responded to my questions. I was impressed with the length of time he spent with me before and after my surgery. I never felt he was in a hurry to get to the next patient. He is supported by a surgical team who are easy to reach via email or phone if I have any questions.

Relief
I had herniated discs in my neck with pain for over 10 yrs. Pain turned to numbness in arms and hands. There was only one surgeon who I trusted and that was Dr Chiappetta. After surgery, pain is gone and feeling in my arms and hands is back. Highly recommend Dr Chiappetta and the staff for anyone suffering with spine issues.

Changed my life... I am now pain-free.
This guy changed my life. Literally. After years and years of being in pain, I found out I had grade 3 spondylolisthesis. For the last year, my pain was 9 out of 10 every day. One surgeon told me I wouldn't walk for three months after surgery, another told me I could wait a few years before surgery... My chiropractor sent me to Chiapetta. Let me pre-face this... I am TERRIFIED of doctors, hospitals, needles, etc. I never thought I'd go through with surgery, especially after the other two consults. Chiapettea listened to my story, my fears, etc. and assured me that surgery would be minimally invasive and I'd fully recover. Fusion. L4-S1. I was home and walking the day after surgery. First week was rough, as with any surgery, but I was back to work by week 2. PAIN FREE. Back to getting light workouts in by week 3 and after a month I am in no pain and feel like a human again for the first time in years. If you want a no-nonsense guy, Chiapetta is the one.

Not a good experience/visit for me
Worst experience in a doctor’s office setting for me. Dr. was acting unengaged, too busy, insincere, distracted, mean, didn’t even look at my MRI images. I stepped out and I needed a minute to wipe my tears, ended up going home upset and crying.

Waited 2 hours to see him for a 9am appointment. Only staff member, a lady named Gerri, not sure of spelling, was extremely nice. I felt rushed and he seemed uninterested. No bedside manner at all. Wouldn’t feel confident to have him do my surgery.

Highly recommend! I was referred to Dr. Chiappetta after trying everything for nearly 2 years in Pain Management. Initially, I had no idea where my pain was coming from, I just knew I couldn’t hold my head up and I was really suffering. Got MRI done in pain management and alas, my neck was all screwed up which would explain why the muscles surrounding were also so tight. I tried everything Pain management suggested and we weren’t getting anywhere. Dr. Chiappetta is an excellent orthopedic doc! He listens, he cares. I never envisioned my life without pain and I have that now - after recovery from surgery I went back to the person I was before terrible daily pain! When I think about the worst pain in my life - I think of the time before seeing Dr. Chiappetta. I’ve had broken bones before, nothing compares to a daily pain that won’t let up and Dr. C was very compassionate, understanding about that. I refer anyone looking for a ortho spine specialist to him, he knows what he’s doing

I went to see Dr Chiappetta for my cervical / neck issue and I felt he didn't really put any effort into the visit plus he told me to see someone for pain management instead of helping me with the inflammation causing the pain. I didn't want to go to a pain management place. All I needed was a cortisone shot to see if that would help the pain. I won't go back to him again.
