Dr. Shiu is always very thorough, gentle, careful, and compassionate. I had a very traumatic experience as a child with a doctor assaulting me during a pelvic exam. As a result, pelvic exams and Pap smears are always very difficult for me. I appreciate how gentle and caring Dr. Shiu is with me when she examines me. She is always very patient and willing to explain things to me. Dr. Shiu is a wonderful physician.

Care was provided very well and took the needed time to do everything needed.

Dr. Shiu is the best doctor I have ever been treated by. I wish she could expand her degree so she can be my general practitioner and my son's pediatrician. She is amazing! She answers all of my questions fully and has a wealth of experience. She's made me feel at ease and secure when I've been worried about a health issue. I've never felt rushed by her. I trust her implicitly for my obstetric care needs. Once I give birth I will continue to keep her as my gynecologist.

If you ever need a doctor with the WORST bedside manners and overall the least empathetic OBGYN then she would be your person but if you want a dedicated physician who truly cares about your health and well being then she is far from that. I experienced a stillborn. A families absolute worst nightmare and all she could say was, it happens, with the most stoic face that still haunts me till this day. She is a careless physician and I am truly hurt by her presence.

My experience with Dr. Shiu has to be one of the most disappointing  and horrible experiences of ever going to any doctor. It began by when I was telling her my symptoms and what I had done previously with other doctors, she harshly asked what I wanted her to do, as if she wasn't the doctor in the situation and was asking the patient what they should do, which in my opinion is the worst thing possible, especially if the person had been struggling with the symptoms for a while. She then proceeded by telling me that I had many "worse" issues and I should be ignoring the problems I came to her with. At the very end, she told my mother and I that she hates Pediatric patients, and she strongly preferred adults. When I asked why, she said because she hates when two different people are yelling at her, and that parents are very annoying. We were not raising our voices in ANY capacity, if anything she was at us. I would have given 0 stars if it was possible. Please reconsider.

Must need money. I was made to come in for a $262 d appt which lasted 10 min to get test results the imaging center could have sent me and I was told by her office they couldn't send results NOT TRUE!!! I called the imaging place after dr appt and they said sure, they can send results!! I was lied to!

This woman should not be allowed to practice medicine. I have never written a review for anything in my life but felt compelled to do this to protect other women. I was in a hospital bed moaning in agony. She touched my stomach, laughed a little and discharged me. Everything I dealt with along this medical journey was kind and caring and knowledgeable. I hope she quits medicine, she is clearly not cut out for it.

Very Personable, available for the baby delivery 24/7, keeps patients at ease. Experienced and real-some future moms are super sensitive and think that they are the center of the universe...that is very delusional-Dr. Shiu puts them quick on the ground-they do not like that and have tendency to complain and nag...they need to learn reality from pretends ASAP. Dr. Shiu is world class expert in her field!
