Dr. Geralyn Leone, MD

If you have anything more complicated going on than needing a birth control prescription do not go to her. I went to her 3 times. Each time was worse than the last. she scoffed at my concerns regarding hormones and losing my hair. She claimed “I don’t look like I’ve lost hair” which is so beyond invalidating and insensitive.She accused me of reading too much on the internet. Lo and behold she diagnosed me with pcos over the phone. It was with the coldest delivery as if this is not life changing news. After getting my iud (which she again scoffed at even the SUGGESTION of using anesthetic and caused severe bleeding during insertion) and it making me feel terrible, she dismissed everything. She just does not give a single care about you. You are one of many. I requested hormone follow ups after being medication for my HORMONE disorder and she refused saying it was not a part of protocol. I don’t know if she is just burnt out or what, but her behavior is completely unacceptable.

This doctor is one of the worst I have ever seen in my life. She comes across as mean and uncaring. She completely ignored my questions and comments. She hurt me when taking a pap smear, worst pain inflicted by any other gyno I have seen. She gave no warning, jabbed the speculum in and expanded as far as it would go hurting me very much. I happen to be very small in that area and could have used some compassion from her. When I yelled OUCH she cut a very painful sample from my cervix which made me cry out aaain. She gave me no options for treatment and no options to follow through with asking meaningful questions. When I arrived at her office, the waiting room was empty which is a red flag here on the Cape. All doctor offices are usually very busy. I was left in the exam room for over 20 minutes waiting for her which really didn't sit well with me. I will never go back and never recommend this doctor, even to my worst enemy.

The staff at this location was wonderful, kind and efficient. I asked Dr. Leone if she would provide anesthesia or local anesthetic for an IUD insertion, as I had a traumatic and painful experience in the past being told I could just take ibuprofen. Dr. Leone immediately said no that she would not provide any anesthetic, and that she did not believe that IUD insertions are painful at all despite my emphasis on my painful experience. It was disappointing to see a female provider dismissing another woman's pain, which is already so overlooked in the medical field. This ensured I will not be a returning patient.

I have been going to Dr. Leone for years and couldn't ask for a better doctor. She is very professional and caring. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. Also, the office staff are wonderful!

I had surgery with Dr. Leone years ago and she took out a Fallopian tube that could have been saved, I woke up to her telling me I couldn’t have children and if I wanted to I would need to look into that In Vitro thing I might have heard of. She punctured my bladder during the surgery and sent me home leaking urine from my incisions and I went into kidney failure and was rushed back to the hospital. I was there for two more weeks from her negligence. Worst doctor in the entire world.

Dr. Leone made me feel extremely comfortable and was reassuring and very clear in her explanations. After having bladder cancer and peri-menopausal, it was recommended I have the "DIVA" procedure. It has changed and improved my health and life for the better.

Just Terrible! I agree with every one who gave a negative review. Absolutely no communication skills, rushed, very rough. Never, ever have I felt like crying when I left a Drs office!! Needs the workbook for dummies on “how to insert a speculum” OMG! The best thing about this office is the Wonderful staff. I will never go back!

Not mindful at all ; was rough and unprofessional.  Geralyn Leone lacks communication skills and professionalism.  Not listening to my answers and could not convey to the nurse which tool she wanted her to bring.  I left there not only in physical pain but also  in shock and disbelief of what had just happened. I do NOT recommend her.

I''ve been Dr Leone's patient for approximately five years, and I've been extremely happy with her in every way. I find her compassionate, caring, thorough and professional. I've recommended her to a number of friends, and they've been totally happy with their experiences.

She is the BEST gynecologist out there. I’m entirely unsure how she has received a poor review. She cares about her patients, is incredibly knowledgeable, and compassionate. I look forward to our appointments. I recommend her to everyone I know!

Very unprofessional! She did not want to listen to my symptoms and she was rushing me throughout the whole visit. She did not seem like she cared with what I had to say since she questioned everything I told her. She was guessing not testing ....

Dr. Leone was the absolute worst gynecologist I have ever been to in my life! She caused me a tremendous amount of pain during a relatively simple procedure. She was downright rude and obnoxious when I had questions about the diagnosis. She was horrific in every sense! I fired her and found a new gynecologist, whom had worked with her in the past. I told him about my experience and he said, “I am not suprised at all! I worked with her in the past; she’s awful!”

Dr. Leone is an extraordinary physician. She is the 1st GYN I’ve had in my life to truly understand my situation. I am getting The DiVa Laser done, subsequent to pelvic radiation decades ago. It is so refreshing to have a female GYN that completely understands. I feel blessed to have her and highly recommend her & The DiVa Procedure!

Dr. Leone is the most unprofessional, uncompassionate and downright RUDE doctor I have ever encountered! In the midst of having a medical problem, I fired her and went to another OB-GYN. The difference in care I received was like night and day!

I am a patient of Dr. Leone and credit her with keeping me quite healthy. She cares so much for her patients she even called me personally to tell me the results of an ultrasound I had had. I don’t believe one word of the negative review written by the previous reviewer . I found Dr Leoni because of the high praise bestowed on her by anothe patient and friend of mine.

Dr. Leone has been my OB/GYN for over 16 years, and she delivered both of my children. It pains me to see the comment written by the previous reviewer as that has never been anything close to my experience in all of these years. Dr. Leone's manner has always been friendly, professional and compassionate. I can attest that she is an excellent physician and has treated me for various OB/GYN issues.

Dr. Leone was so unprofessional. She has no bedside manner. Rude and cold. Thankfully her nurse and office staff are kind. I left in tears after she yelled at me during the procedure. I would never recommend her.
