Her degree isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on
Went to the ER (Holy Cross) with a clear gallbladder attack. Dr. Sotiropoulos misdiagnosed me saying it was muscular pains and was about to release me. I begged for an ultrasound because I knew I was having a gallbladder attack. She then gave me an ultrasound herself and assured me gallbladder was fine. After this she was about to send me home again with a clean bill of health. I kept insisting to see an actual radiologist. One came in eventually, and it was clear something was very wrong. After he left, Dr. S. came into the room and had to admit I did have gallstones, and huge one was blocking the neck of my gallbladder. However, she still released me and told me to talk to my PCP. I was forced to go home in extreme pain, when I was in need of emergency surgery. It was 5 days before I was able to get an app with my PCP, who sent me straight from her office to the ER for surgery at Northridge Hospital. The surgeon said I should’ve never been released days prior and I could’ve died.

Not friendly, no bedside manner, rude and condescending. I've been seen by her twice, and my fiance once, both in the ER at Holy Cross. She was by far the most unpleasant doctor I've ever encountered. Spent probably 10 min with me total during my last, 4 hour ER visit. She didn't even examine me. Before being discharged she asked if I had any questions, my question was how to control my pain, her response, and I quote "we don't prescribe narcotics here" in a very rude, belittling tone. I wasn't there seeking medication, I was there because my personal doctor advised me to be seen immediately for stomach pain. Like I said this is my 3rd experience with her, no empathy or sympathy at all. Her behavior was the same during all 3 visits. If she is ever my ER doctor again, I will refuse service.
