Very nice guy. And most likely an great surgeon
Torn menisci, left knee. Visit 1, “let’s wait 6 weeks and see if pain lessens or gets worse”. Visit 2, (pain worsened considerably), “let’s get an MRI”. Visit 3, “clearly, there is damage to both menisci, so here’s 3 options”. I opted for surgery. The past 2 weeks post-op, I was totally unprepared to be living alone with none of the safety products. No chair for shower. No means to negotiate stairs from my apartment, then a long walk to my parked car. No means to make large quantities of ice for Breg Knee Icer. I had to call to get a RX for crutches, (useless in a small, carpeted, one BR apartment). And a bone on bone right knee that took a beating compensating for a post-op left knee.My point is, Dr S could have asked a few questions prior to surgery so he could inform me of my post-op needs. Needless suffering could have been avoided. He’s a good doctor. A Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctor. But I’m 67 and live alone. Pre-surgery patient preparation is not his strong point.

Dr Stollsteimer did rotator cuff repair surgery on my right shoulder. It's been 9 months since the surgery and nothing reminds me of the pain I had before or that the shoulder was operated on. Excellent job and diagnosis. Dr S was my second opinion after months of unsuccessful PT prescribed to me by another doctor. First thing he prescribed different tests to get to the bottom of the issue and then outlined all treatment options I had and their consequences. He really took his time to explain everything in great detail and answer all my questions. The office is very organized, never had to wait for more than 10 mins. I highly recommend Dr Stollsteimer.

Dr. Stollsteimer was my son's surgeon and all I can say is I wish all my doctors were just like Dr. Stollsteimer. He takes his time in explaining everything and is very thorough so that there is no question about any procedures or recovery. You can just tell that the office and hospital staff enjoy working with him. If there comes a time that I have to see an orthopedic surgeon, I will definitely go to Dr. Stollsteimer. He was also very accomodating in seeing my son on short notice.

We would never hesitate to recommend Dr S. He is an excellent physician who is patient friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. The office staff is professional and patient oriented. Every time we visited we have been treated with the utmost respect and care. Dr S makes everything clear and understandable. Takes as much time as needed to address your concerns and explains your needs completely. Suggests only treatment that is necessary. Follows up responsibly. Exceeds expectations!

He did surgery my right shoulder and it fixed! Also, I'm deaf and he speaks very slow and clear to make sure I understand. I really like that because that's deaf friendly! I feel comfortable with him. He is a positive man and care about his patients. *2 thumbs up*
