Condescending
I was there with our adult son. Dr. Sontag came into the room and did not discuss any test results, except to say they saw nothing life threatening. When my son used the proper terminology for some body parts, Dr. Sontag said he wasn’t used to hearing those words from persons who are not in the medical field.When my son explained that he is on the autism spectrum and is obsessive about language, Dr. Sontag said “uh huh”.When our son asked if the next steps were to see a urologist or proctologist, Dr. Sontag said “Yeah, okay” and walked out.I have worked in doctors’ offices for over 20 years. This was the most dismissive and condescending behavior I have ever witnessed by a doctor.
