With the experience that I went through this time I don't know

Dr. Obeid and his assistants went above and beyond my expectations. I have tried with several other providers to get an answer to my problems, with no success. Dr. Obeid listened to me, explained what he felt was going on, and agreed to do a tissue biopsy today that hopefully will give me an answer as to what has been making me miserable for three years. When they did the biopsy, I did not stop bleeding as expected. The doctor and assistants spent a lot of extra time with me to get the bleeding to stop. They were very caring, attentive and thorough. I was so grateful that they cared enough to answer all my questions, make sure I would be fine when I left and even scheduled me to come back next week to make sure the biopsy site heals correctly. All I can say to them is thank you, thank you.

Dr. Obied is absolutely amazing and so is his staff of doctors that helped me throughout my surgery and recovery. If you are thinking about getting jaw surgery, stop looking for the right doctor and choose Dr. Obied, it will by far be the best decision you will ever make. He is not only the right doctor, but he is the best doctor. He cares about his patients and will do everything he can to make you comfortable. My jaw is completely perfect now and I would not have changed a thing. But, if I did want something different, he would do anything in his power to support me and give me his honest opinion about it. It is obvious he's doing this job for his patients instead of for a paycheck. Stop looking, start choosing. Start and finish with Dr. Obied. Medstar itself kinda blows and is hard to get to. But if you let that get in the way of an amazing doctor for a very difficult procedure, you shouldn't be getting surgery in the first place.

Dr. Obeid is a knowledgeable and highly skilled professional. Quite a few surgeons have these qualities; but Dr. Obeid is more than that. He has qualities that only top-notch surgeons have: wisdom and compassion. I have complete confidence in him. His care is outstanding.

The main problem with Dr. Obeid's office is that his office staff is horrible. No one answers the phone, the scheduling is impossible. When we had a post surgical problem there was NO ONE to address the issues. Dr. Obeid is a fine doctor, but I would not recommend using him because it is impossible to reach him or anyone of competence at his office. Plus they billed us for services that they said were covered under the surgical procedure (follow up visits). Nightmare!

I waited for over an hour and a half and was only then talked to by a resident. When Dr. Obeid finally arrived he told me he wanted a CT scan. I had already had a CT scan and showed him the slides. Then he told me he wanted an MRI - clearly trying to bill for an expensive test. I went to the front desk and asked for my copayment. They told me there was no copay. However, I've received two bills in the mail totally $120.
