Excellent doctor! My vision was so bad due to cataracts I could not drive a car. I was very afraid to have the procedure done. It was exactly as he explained it to me and I felt no pain. His staff in the office and the hospital were warm and reassuring. He even corrected my astigmatism! I have better than 20/20 distance vision! I am so grateful! Everything was perfect!

Dr. McMickle & Staff
My husband and I are both patients of Dr. McMickle. He is our trusted ophthalmologist and we would not consider going elsewhere for eye care needs that he provides. In addition to being a well trained and excellent physician, he employs an excellent staff. The front desk girls are professional and very helpful and you can tell they love their jobs. My husband asked me to be sure and mention Steve, who has been a huge help and good resource. He, like everyone in that office, is very responsive, professional and always courteous. My husband has relied on Steve and his expertise to help resolve an eyeglass issue and is very grateful for the assistance. Dr. McMickle and his staff have always been pleasant and it is one medical office that does not fill us with dread or apprehension on arrival. We both wish other physicians and their staff could take lessons from Dr. McMickle and his staff on how to treat people with dignity and respect. We highly recommend Dr. McMickel!

I'm giving a 3 star because of the office staff. Dr. McMickle is a wonderful doctor, but truly needs to take a look at his office staff. The staff member actually admitted it was him and not Dr. McMickle that caused significant issues. I don't know how long this staff member has been with the practice, but I will not return 100% due to the office manager. When I tried to resolution and my husband went in to get the promised (6 months prior) lens replaced, he was rude to my husband, who had nothing to do with my review! If he had been nice to my husband, I would have deleted the one star I gave the practice on Google Reviews. My husband actually planned to joke around with the office manager and came home stating that he understood why I gave the office such a bad review. Again, Dr. McMickle is great...but truly needs to take a look at how his staff is reflecting on his practice.

Excellent! Cataract removal and implanted lens; both eyes. I had extreme astigmatism. Dr. McMickle is professional, personable, caring and a straight shooter with information. I have been a patient for many years. I now have better than 20/20 vision. I highly recommended him.

I did sooo much research & referral asking before deciding on Dr. McMickle. My eyes are gradually getting worse, but about 2 months ago my eye randomly started to get red (no other irritation, burning, watery eyes, etc), but then over the weekend (of course) I had intense pain on my eye lid and the pain was excruciating when I looked at things right in front of my eye. I went to urgent care and the doc there didn't know what it was (said it wasn't pink eye) but didn't know what it was. He told m

My mother was legally blind. After Dr. McMickle operated on her eyes she now has better vision than I do at almost 20/20. I am certain that most other ophthalmologist would have had her in the hospital with complications because of the difficulty level of her cataracts. As an RN my professional opinion is that my mother's new vision will add years to her life. As a daughter I am thrilled that she can see her grandchildren and read again. The results are miraculous and life changing.

A few years back Dr. McMickle removed cataracts and added lenses for my mom. Now, years later she is 87 years old and she says after the operation she can still see better than she did when she was in her 50's. Dr. McMickle is so much more than a doctor. He is a miracle worker. I remember meeting a woman who had been blind in one eye. She said all other doctors told her she would never have sight in that eye. But, after Dr. McMickle operated on her she could see. Dr. McMickle is AWESOME.

I highly recommend Dr McMuckle, I have been going to him for many years. I wouldn't go or trust any other doctor with my eyes. I had a bad fall that created a trauma induced double vision in my right eye, he did surgery on my eye & gave me back my vision. I trust him explicitly! He's an extremely competent Doctor.

The only problem with this office is the billing. The person doing the billing seems to feel that it is the patient's responsibility to straighten out their billing problems. There have been several errors on my account, and I am the one left to point out where their errors are.I have referred others to Dr,. McMickle as he is excellent, but I have also told them the billing needs improvement.
