Sad
Since he had Covid, and I think long Covid, he hasn’t been the same. Forgetful, detached, despite the chart, can’t remember right from left on my body issues. He was great at one time. No longer qualified to deal with serious issues. Now confrontational and nasty. Go somewhere else. If you want a doctor who (in his mind is a God) go see him. And make sure you thank him profusely for routine care. Huge ego. Unrestrained. Time for him to retire. He’s living in his past accomplishments which are noteworthy. But, sad, and no longer relevant.

Dr Lombardi has been my primary physician for most of my time living in NYC. In that time he has always been attentive, astute, and discerning, a brilliant diagnostician, and has helped me successfully navigate both routine and life threatening health challenges by means of his own patient care, excellent referrals, and working closely with specialists when needed. I have the utmost trust in his judgment. His staff members have also been wonderful and caring.

To make a long story short, he told me I should quit being an opera singer and then wouldn’t do the test I wanted to have done. I’m not sure what doctors have to gain by refusing tests their patients are willing to pay for other than an ego trip. Also, he isn’t my therapist or life coach and I didn’t ask him for career advice. He also made some comments that made it sound like he’s close to retirement and not interested in learning new information to help his patients. That’s a little terrifying as he went to med school quite a long time ago and there’s a lot that has been discovered since then. Hard pass. Do not go to this doctor. He was condescending and egotistical. Furthermore, one of his staff members was short and rude with me, when I was simply asking to confirm that they had my correct mailing address to send a receipt to.
