Dr. Kouris expertise in plastic surgery I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kouris. He is extremely skilled, brilliant, and artistic. He is hands down the best surgeon. I researched plastic surgeons for a breast reduction with removal of implants. After narrowing my search, I interviewed and had consultations with 6 different plastic surgeons. I was very OCD with this process, as a decade earlier I had a poor experience with a surgeon who is now retired. Dr Kouris’ experience with breast surgery is bar none. A large portion of his surgical history is with RUSH university hospital where he performed the more complicated and reconstructive cases/patients. After meeting Dr Kouris in person, I knew immediately he was the person I would trust. Dr. Kouris speaks in laymen’s terms, easy to understand, explained the process and procedure very clearly, the recovery, and demonstrates that he wants the best possible outcome to the patient’s desire. I had Dr. Kouris do my breast aug 10 years ago. People can't believe I have implants due to the fact that they fit my body so well and look natural. 10 years later they still look great and are perky. I had a breast reduction and tummy tuck by Dr. Kouris. Two months after surgery I had massive pain in my abdominal area. He sent me to the ER and they gave me morphine and sent me home. Two months after that, I was still having severe pain and he WOULD NOT see me; instead he had nurse Sheila examine me. She said this was normal and to take it easy. Another month passed and I couldn’t take it anymore. I demanded he see me and he basically dismissed me and said he could get me into the ER ASAP. As they had failed me before, I decided to see another plastic surgeon. She did an exam, said I had nerve damage! Also, he charged me $2500 for a side bra lipo that wasn’t done (operative report confirms this), my nipples and areolas are still huge and uneven, my belly button is off centered and almost 2 years post op, I still have pain in my abdominal area. The pain is enough to render me incapable of doing any strenuous exercise and I have actually gained 20 lbs. Look elsewhere for your needs!

I had a mastectomy/reconstruction on one breast and a lift/reduction on the other breast in 2014. The reconstruction was half the size of the other breast, and misshapen. When I questioned Nurse Sheila and asked to speak to the doctor, they, literally, stood outside the examining room, arguing, and I heard the entire conversation through the door, because he didn't want to speak to me. I never went back. I attempted to see a new surgeon at Rush but she didn't want to do the surgery because they work together. Why am I leaving this review now? I have a friend who has been diagnosed with cancer asking for recommendations, and, even, though this happened five years ago, I decided it was time.

Dr. Kouris is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in facial aesthetics. He shares every aspect of the procedure with you and takes his time to make sure everything is absolutely perfect.

Dr. Kouris is the most talented, brilliant and technically perfect breast surgeon I've ever seen. I am a registered nurse who has been working with plastic surgeons for almost 9 years. I have had the opportunity to work alongside some of the very best. When it came time for me to find a surgeon I literally spent over a year just doing research. Once I found Dr. Kouris I immediately knew he was the one.

Due to breast cancer, I had a single mastectomy at age 62. Dr Kouris handled the reconstruction with an implant and a lift on my opposite side. Not only am I pleased with his technical surgery, but I am surprised at how artistic he was with the reconstruction. I've nicknamed him "Dr. Van Gogh". His asst, Sheila, also was very knowledgeable and concerned that I was comfortable with the outcome. Quite a team!

Dr. Kouris helped me through a very scary cancer surgery. I was told that 30% of my lower lip would have to be removed. It is now 7 months later, friends and family are amazed.
