Gallbladedr Removal
I recently had my gallbladder removed from Dr. George Denoto and the overall experience was quite pleasant. From the moment I met Dr. Denoto, he was professional, knowledgeable, and suggested that I proceed with the elective removal of my gallbladder. I felt confident after my first appointment with him and scheduled my surgery. The day of the surgery he was great and explained everything once again to my husband and I prior to the procedure. I was very impressed two days after the surgery when Dr. Denoto called me on a Sunday to follow up with how I was feeling. The post operative was as expected from what was explained to me and I cannot thank Dr. Denoto enough for a seamless removal and recovery.

POOR SERVICE
I wanted to make an appointment with Dr. George Denoto for scar tissue removal. First the receptionist who answered the phone told me that doctor does NOT do procedure. I told them that my friend referred me to him because she had that procedure done by him. They connected me to someone else who said that the doctor Does do it. DO NOT call them. Find another doctor. They are extremely unprofessional and don't know what they are doing!! Save your time and energy and go elsewhere.

Hurnia surgery
Not sure how a doctor recommends surgery without MRI or CT scan I always tell people get multiple opinions prior to surgery or any medical treatment. So you can have a paper trials of what was need and what isn't.Surgery of any kind can alter life quality.

The best of the best!
Dr. DeNoto is one of the best I have been fortunate enough to call my doctor. He has a bedside manner to him, that is soft, compassionate and caring. He addresses all concerns & takes the time explaining steps & procedures as needed. His recommendations have been right on exactly & I highly recommend him as the doctor to see in the areas that are his skilled & expert knowledgeable qualifications. You will find no one better! My experiences with Dr. DeNoto over the past 7+ years have been the nothing short of the highest standards of professionalism & impeccable care for his patients.

A few years ago I had gall bladder surgery with Dr Denoto. It was more of an emergency case due to the fact that I was very apprehensive about getting surgery. Everything went well, and I would recommend him.

No Follow Ups! Very Disappointing! Patients are way over-booked, with zero concern or caring treatment. I had a rather serious, intensifying issue with constant pain, and an expanding hernia that wouldn't stay in. Other at risk factors made the case and surgery all the more important. But Dr. DeNoto went missing in action. I guess my insurance (NY State of Health) wasn't going to pay what Dr. DeNoto wanted, because he wouldn't ever get back to me re doing the necessary surgery. Topping off the substandard care, I noticed when I got a copy of the med report that he made it seem like I had no problem or discomfort at all! So basically, just a meaningless one-time visit of no benefit leaving me in harm's way. Not how patients should be treated, let alone by the chief surgeon of Catholic Health Services of LI.

I went to see Dr. Denoto for a huge hernia. I did not know what to expect, and he is fantastic, so kind, considerate, friendly, took time to speak with me and walk me through everything. His staff is amazing; if you call to speak with his assistant, she actually gets back to you by phone, something I see less and less of. The PA's in the office to the nurses are just so nice. Dr. Denoto is very busy, but he is worth the wait. They are always there to help you and speak with you.

I can't speak to his skill as a surgeon because he canceled multiple appointments with me at the last second without any regard to the fact that I was traveling from out of town to see him. He literally called me the same day on two separate occasions to cancel on me. This was after waiting over a month to see him on each of these two occasions.

Saved me! Had 2 prior surgeries on same hernia, bad news. Infected mesh etc. Dr. DeNoto got me back to health, he’s the best. Great bedside manor too, he & his staff don’t make you feel like “just a number”...

Dr. DeNoto actually saved my life. I was admitted to the hospital in excruciating pain from a diverticulitis “explosion” and Dr. DeNoto did emergency surgery, removing part of my colon and giving me a colostomy. His follow up care was professional and kind. He will reverse my colostomy and repair a hernia in a few days. I have complete confidence that I am entrusting my care to a superb surgeon and a lovely man.

I had several hernias (direct & indirect inguinal, plus a femoral) repaired during my surgery that took place on July 25th, 2001. I still feel great after all these years. Dr. DeNoto was an excellent and caring surgeon at that time! Just imagine how much better he would be today as a result of his vast experience!

I was painfully disappointed in his follow-up care. He did not come to the recovery room after my surgery and did not contact me at all after surgery until I contacted his office two days later in great discomfort. I was ill-prepared for the level of discomfort and healing time involved in my hernia repair. As well, I was never given an incentive spirometer after surgery and no mention of it was made 1 week post surgery when I called the office with 101 fever and a severe cough and chest pain.

I always research everything important before making a decision. Choosing a Doctor is no different, and should be top on your list. Considering the doctor that you may actually operate on you, or a loved one, should be pretty high on your priority list. As far as hernia's go, Doctor Denoto is an expert in repairing hernias, and if you want someone who specializes in hernia repair, he's your doctor. Dr. Denoto will take his time with you and explain everything that the surgery involves.

Dr. Denoto is an outstanding surgeon. His bedside manner is wonderful; he spends time with you as a patient and answers all of your questions. He was very conservative in his approach with me and was not overly zealous on recommending surgery until it was clear that it would be the best step for me. Called the next day personally to check up on me.
