Dr. Deeb was kind, caring and compassionate regarding my entire experience. He took as much time as was necessary to explain to me exactly what an aortic aneurysm is and how he would treat mine. As fantastic as Dr. Deeb is, the entire team at the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center is unmatched. My treatment and care was world class.

When my local cardiac surgeon was not willing to give me very much information about what the surgery might go like, ie, everything was "50/50". Dr Deeb was very confident that he could save my aortic valve and put it into a new aortic root graft. This is a very desired outcome because the other options are less ideal. Dr Deeb also kept my pre-op appointment even though he had been up all night saving someones life. When he met me, he still had lines from his mask on his face.

Dr. Deeb saved my life in 2001 by replacing an aortic valve just before it burst. He saved my life again in 2005 when he replaced another value which had become severely infected by an oral bacteria, causing endocarditis. Then he saved my life for the third time when he did emergency surgery while I hemorrhaged from a TAVR surgery and again implanted a new aortic valve. He is internationally known for his surgery and research. He told my sons "God saved you father." He just borrowed my hands
