A real Doctor
Excellent, the last of the real Doctors. If I do not mention a symptom he still asks, just to make sure. This resulted in discovering the real problem.I send my 30-year neighbors of all ages and then rave about him as well.

Terrible
on my last visit in Sept 2023, I asked for a prescription and he said 'M' his receptionist would take care of it? She never did despite my calls and messages. She called me 2 weeks later asking for info I had already given, and told me the prescription would be sent next day. 2 weeks later no prescription. I went in for another appointment in Oct and he didn't know why I was there... Somehow an extra appointment had been created? So I asked him again for the prescription (now a month late) and he wrote it out living off my name and date!!Started off ok, but early on I noticed the office never answers the phone, texts or emails. Even my CPAP supplier needs a referral from him tries calling / no answer and so I am not able to get needed supplies. Now 2 years with Dr. Castro it it time to call it quits.

Dr. Castro was the first doctor I've found where I felt that my breathing issues were going to be resolved. He performed a thorough examination and pointed out things I was completely unaware of. He took the time to explain every examination to me and also gave me some tips on how to avoid certain side affect of asthma medication. Upon meeting him, it is obvious that he genuinely cares for his patients and is a knowledgable and experienced doctor. I've already recommended him to others.

I see Dr. Castro as a Pulmonologist. He is a first rate doctor. He also expresses that he really cares.. He is both very informative and willing to listen to and answer questions. His assistant Maria is also great. I can't tell you how many doctors I have stopped going to because their staffs were incompetent and/or nasty (usually both).

Dr. Castro spent a significant amount of time going over my medical history and current situation with me. He then explained the procedures he did (lung function tests, in-office) and tests he ordered (from an outside lab) in thorough, but easy to understand detail. He was extremely personable and, judging from this (my first visit) seems to have well-rounded experience with a variety of patients. Would definitely recommend.
