Incredibly rude and impatient with me
Had an EMG for the first time and it was genuinely the worst experience i've ever had at renown. He had absolutely horrendous bedside manner and he was incredibly short and impatient with me. I’m incredibly weak in the lower half of my body so i was struggling to push my feet down or up when i was asked to, i expressed this and apologized but he kept getting even more angry at my lack of strength. He cut me off while i was explaining what I was there for and when the appointment was “over” (he only did my legs when i needed my arms done too) he looked at the computer for hardly even a second before saying “you’re fine”. I ended up just leaving without getting my arms done anyway because i was in tears by that point and just wanted to leave Its been a few hours since my appointment and i am STILL in pain from him manhadling my feet while wiggling around the needle carelessly. Didn't even offer bandaids when u was bleeding everywhere.

Poor bedside manner
My appointment was for a test that was supposed to take 90 minutes and was in and out of there in 12 minutes. Immediately upon entering the room Dr. Bigley gave me my diagnosis with only one sentence of history . I appear fit and healthy therefore I think he made up his mind by my looks rather than the test. He was dismissive of my symptoms and wasn't interested in my history. I am a medical provider as well and I have never had such a negative, dismissive, short, appointment. He seemed irritated that I was even there. I'm getting the test done again at UCSF because I did not trust his results.

Rude, incompetant, dismissing.
In my caregiving work, I have met MANY doctors. Dr. Bigley is the rudest, most unfeeling, doctor I have ever encountered. He was like that 21 years ago and still is like that today. (I hadn't seen him in all those years...and nothing has changed. I hadn't chosen to see him this time but he was all that was available.) A doctor that is rude, harsh, dismissive with his patients has no business being a doctor who sees patients. He should just be in research (if he is good enough...is the unpleasant, disrespectful attitude there to cover up incompetance?) and not encountering people who are dealing with serious, frightening illnesses! The person's mental and emotional well being is half the fight against illness and if their doc causes them distress, then what's the point of having an appointment with him? That negative, cruel demeanor is tremendously damaging to the patient. 'The Good Fight' Renown? If your organization really believes in that slogan then Dr. Bigley needs to go. Now.

He changed offices its worse won't return calls
Dr. Bigley won't listen to anything you say. For him, it's his way or the highway. When I asked him about new research being conducted for MS, Dr. Bigley stated ' there is no new research being conducted.!' And I am to stay on the medication he prescribed for me years ago. Dr. Bigley is intolerant & has horrible bedside manner.

He poopoo's anything you tell him. He doesn't let you finish a sentence or a thought before he blows it off and asks another question. No empathy or compassion. I don't mind the lack of empathy and compassion as long as he is hearing what i say. Will NEVER recommend him. Staff was really nice though.

I believe DR. BIGLEY to be an excellent physician. He won’t become your best friend but he is a Dr. that will give you answers and direction. I’ve been bounced around for a year to other neurologists and Dr. Bigley is the first and only that I now feel ha sleep me on the right path to wellness. He knows his stuf. He’s all business. I’d highly recommend him as a physician.

Dr. Bigley is one of the most knowledgable, caring doctors I have had. Wish I had had a doctor like him when I first became ill. I am moving back to Reno so that I can be his patient.

This man is in a hurry and does not suffer fools. (I must be a fool, because he did not suffer me.) He is no nonsense, serious, probably a good scientist, but that remains to be seen. If you need coddling, attention, or to be listened to or even strict politeness, he is not your guy. He cuts to the chase, with barely time for hello-goodbye. That is what I came for. Somebody else can coddle me. I just don't know yet how competent he is. He seems serious and focused. Less than zero patience

Make no bones about it; Dr Bigley is all business. I can see why some think he has no empathy or bedside manner, but he does care about his patients. I see him as a doctor that has seen a lot of pain and suffering, and perhaps uses a coping mechanism that shuts down his capacity to empathize. My dad has brain cancer and having an extremely rough go of it, up to five seizures every night. Dr Bigley sat next to him with true empathy, made us all feel better, and personally returned calls anytime.

Dr Bigley recently saw one of my kids. He literally had the worst bedside manner imagineable! He would not listen to any of our questions or concerns. I would highly recommend finding a different Neurologist if at all possible.

I would never recommend him to anyone!! I saw him in ER. He asked what was going on with me and we were trying to explain it to him and he wouldn't shut up and listen he just kept saying how do you know? He was very conducending and no compassion. He said they would sedate me for the MRI because I'm clostraphobic they didnt so I didn't get the MRI.

I am very disappointed that you haven't posted my review of this doctor. It is a shame that you are willing to deceive the public about the poor service received. I gave a one in the review, and if given the choice it would have been all zeros. Again, I am very disappointed.I am not willing to recommend Dr Bigley to family or friends.

Not happy with this doctor. I told him my problem, and he tried to tell me that I always has this! Well, I told him that no I hadn't & this is reason I was in his office...his reply was "I'm not going to argue with you." I should hope not! I should know what my body is feeling?! He made this comment more than once to me. I don't think he listens to his patient, he seems to think he knows how you feel, better than you know yourself!
