Excellent Opthamologist
The office did a very complete exam and then Dr. Agritellis spent a half hour with me reviewing history and recommending treatment.

Frustrating
My experience with Dr. Agritellis' practice was frustrating and unsatisfactory. I felt they I was being treated less as a patient and more as a customer. It finally got to the point where, after having been left alone in an examining room for well over an hour, I simply got up and left. The next day I transferred my patient files from Dr. Agritellis to Dr. Anthony Roberts, a move that I should have made much earlier. And on the subject of Dr. Agritellis' surgical skills, I can only say this: the first cataract removal went well; the second not so much. Several years later, I have cloudy vision in my left eye and frequent episodes of a burning sensation which I attribute to eye fatigue. I can certainly say that one of my two cataract surgeries was anything but a complete success. This is especially troubling because I am a voracious reader and, ever since my second surgery with Dr. Ageitellis, I have been forced to curtail my reading because of the problems I continue to encounter.

Almost 2 years ago, unsure of my current Ophthalmologist, my primary doctor recommended Dr. Agritellis. At my first visit, he discovered that I had close angle glaucoma, something that put me at high risk without warning for sudden blindness. Dr. Agritellis treated it with a laser procedure within days. My old Ophthalmologist only ever said I was a glaucoma suspect and he would watch it every 6 months. He never found the close angle version that was so dangerous. Needless to say, I had my records transferred from my old Ophthalmologist to Dr. Agritellis immediately. I'm happy I made the change. Dr. Agritellis is extremely thorough, very personable, and very willing to explain (and even diagram) the medical details. So glad I switched to him.

I love Dr. Agritellis so much. He not only answers my questions, he explains things, and very thoroughly. He draws me pictures and shares his computer screen...I always feel like I've been to school after an appointment, but in a good way! He's also a very nice guy and so easy to talk to. Dr. A is what every doctor SHOULD be.

My experience with Dr. Agritellis has been nothing but positive. He is extremely kind, he has a very warm personality, and he explains everything exquisitely well. The annual eye exams could not be more thorough. His office is bright, clean, and his equipment is the most state of the art you will find anywhere. If you are kept waiting it is because he never rushes me and it is safe to assume he treats everyone as nicely as he treats me, my husband, and my friends to go to him for their eye care.

My experience with Dr Agritellis has been excellent! I was referred to him for cataract surgery, and the procedure was well explained and went exactly as described. During a later checkup, he caught beginning macular degeneration and referred me to a specialist. Because it was caught early, the degeneration was halted (temporarily) and the specialist referred me back for ongoing monitoring until symptoms return again. I am very pleased with my diagnoses and treatments.
