He was thorough and not rushed. Appointment was on time, and I liked his demeanor. Very professional. Glad I changed doctors.

I had Dr Capes as my doctor for about 5 years. I am 100% confident in his expertise as a doctor and he's a friendly, personable and very intelligent individual. I've been considered a fairly healthy person for most of my life - good diet, exercise etc. , but I started to feel like I was being categorized as a geriatric (age 64) after I turned 60 years old. All of a sudden I was being asked to do myriad tests, x-rays, scans that I had never needed before. Once that started, it felt as though he was looking for something to be wrong with me and tests begat more tests. I never felt any different, but I was made to feel like there should be something wrong with me at my age. Having a high deductible insurance plan, it got cost prohibitive to keep seeing him. My new doctor was puzzled by the battery of tests I had been put through and is more relaxed about my care. I can't help but feel that UC Health is on a mission to pay for all the expensive buildings they have erected in town

Dr Capes is amazing! he is a wonderful doctor and I feel as though he is a great contributing attribute to my wellness. He listens carefully, he is attentive, intelligent, very knowledgable and passionate about medicine..his compassionate bedside manner makes him a fantastic Doctor! I love his enthusiastic demeanor! he is one of the best!

Dr. Capes is a smart, diligent practitioner and as a physician myself, I feel very very comfortable with him as my doctor. Great guy and very knowledgeable.

He spends time to listen and understand, Explains every detail. Sets goals / plans. Responds back quickly. If he doesn’t know … he'll tell yo. Love his honesty. His bedside manner is phenomenal, so is his staff. I've never had a Doctor so attentive / quick to respond ... and yes, at times he calls or emails directly! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Capes!

Dr. Capes is truly the best physician out there. I've been a patient of his for about 7 years & I am so happy that I found him. I love him as my doctor. He treats me with great respect & care. I've never felt judgement & he addresses my concerns without ever making me feel like I'm being irrational or like a nuisance. I appreciate that he always takes his time and doesn't rush me out the door. I also love his nurse, Gretchen. She is always smiling & kind!

My husband had an unusual, serious virus. Dr. Capes worked very hard on determining a diagnosis. He was thoughtful, conscientious, cost-conscious, weighed the risk/benefits of everything in consideration, - I really can't say enough about how well he managed the situation. He was very thorough in his exams and questioning. Even though he is extremely busy, he manages his time well and doesn't make you feel you are a number. He is a five star "bedside" manner. I highly recommend Dr. Capes.

Dr. Capes is caring and personable. He works nonjudgementally with your health problems to find a solution the patient and physician can partner together with. In other words, he practices medicine for you rather than to you.
