Dr. Gengyun Wen, MD

He operates under different practice names. Is it Northeast Wellness Clinic, CT Mental Health, Mansfield Mental Health, Mansfield Addiction Services? Which one is it doc? Why so shady? Why am I getting a bill from a practice I've never even heard of? His multiple practices represent the epitome of what is wrong with mental health care in the US.

I go there like twice a week for a ketamine treatment. I'm not a very talkative person. I have a very hard time communicating. I've all wayse had a hard time talking but with him he doesn't push me or talk down to me. He takes extra time to try to understand the problem with me talking very minimal. He's a very positive nice person. I would recommend him to anyone wanting the best psychiatrist treat they can get.

I have been seeing Dr. Wen for over 2 years, and he has been incredibly helpful with my mental health issues. He always responds to my messages, even on weekends. I highly recommend his skills and professionalism.

Dr. Wen resented that I independently researched prescriptions and asked respectful questions. He told me only to listen to him, that I had a 'suspicious mind' due to my 'condition,' when I only have a very manageable issue. He lacks empathetic affect and was intolerant of my asking any questions and said, in a calm but determined voice, to do what he told me to do or not to come back. He was also obviously perturbed that I did not go to the therapist he recommended. Seemed to resent any questioning that what he said was law. Also he told me he wouldn't want to prescribe any new medications and then ended the same session by prescribing one that had a high risk of exacerbating a serious condition I have. I did not return.

I have searched for 25 years for this medicine. I have finally found the right place to release the hidden pain. I feel that Northeast Wellness Center is getting negative reviews by others through interactions involving other practitioners in the building.Dr. Wen, his practice in this facility is a true blessing to those who go to him with the life changing medicine. Please do not let other interactions define Dr. Wen and medication. His medicine is a miracle and my life is permanently changed by the uplifting opportunity from this medicine. The staff at this facility are sweet, compassionate, and personable.Dr. Wen is a genius and is thoroughly invested in the care here. Miracles can happen here if you truly want the freedom. I am blessed because of this, it has opened up a part of me I didn't know was closed. It gives me the safe space to release what was unconciously bound by my heart and soul. I can now truly live my life with the freedom from depression, Thank you Dr. Wen

I saw Dr. Wen [initial visit] for a brief time with NO eye contact and little discussion - I understand he is NOT a "psychotherapist" - three months later the second visit was 15 minutes - again no eye contact and laptop typing with a few questions geared toward :" I am not a talking therapist - if you want someone , I can recommend someone like Dr. Jain [previous therapist for 20 rs] - patients confide in their doctors -[my opinion] - I tried to communicate through the portal - after two weeks of NO response, I called the office wherein they gave me an email link to utilize - I heard from Dr. Wen and was scolded via an email for contacting office via email and phone ......"According to my staff, you have utilized email and phone calls for non-urgent matters despite being advised to use the patient portal for communication."... 18 days later I received this reply - The staff gave me the link - simply put, communicating on his end was lacking - not me, nor his office...maybe a PC error ?.. IDK - have a nice day :)

I recommend looking elsewhere, this provider was reckless and the supporting staff of counselors were even more reckless. The provider didn't seem very ethical. I did not feel safe, or as if my concerns were listened to. Very dismissive and passive, I did not feel safe using this provider. The providers standards are very low and the overall feel was neglectful and reckless.

Dr. Wen saved my life. While in a state of extreme anxiety and depression, I went to see him. He saw that my psychiatrist had over-medicated me and began a process for me to cut back and go off meds I didn’t need. Once I did that, he added a medication to the two I stayed on and 6 weeks in, I was back to a solid, stable state of mind.It’s been a year now and I am more joyful and stable than ever. Please, if you have bipolar disorder or depressive symptoms for whatever reason, make an appointment with Dr.Wen. He is an absolute God-send!But know that you can get help to manage your illness. 1. Admit what disorder you have. Name it! 2. Use resources to get the help you need (like I did with Dr. Wen). 3. Manage yourself. It’s up to you to walk in reality of your situation and WANT the help you NEED. Doctors are only as good as the patient is WILLING.

Dr Wen is a fantastic Doctor. I can’t recommend him enough. I would give him 10 stars if I could. I have been a long time patient and have always had a positive experience

I have been a patient of Dr Wen for the past 5 years and have always had a very positive experience every visit. I can’t recommend him enough!

Dr Wen has been very fast at calling the pharmacy for my prescription refills. Even when I requested the refills in the portal on a Saturday, in a couple of hours I will receive the confirmation from the pharmacy that Dr Wen submitted the prescription. He has been extremely helpful and very responsive. Thank you Dr Wen!

This review is based on sub par care that my daughter has recieved from Dr. Wen. To be honest, his care might be average, but his professionalism, (or lack of) in calling back/answering questions when my daughter was in her time of GREATEST need has left me angry. If you want a Dr. who cares and proves it by returning phone calls, this isn't the Dr. For you.

Very friendly, takes time to listen and monitors meditation closely.

When it comes to prescriptions, he is very knowledgeable and aggressive in finding one that works for you. However, the recent pandemic shed him and his practice in a whole new light. On top of struggling with my mental health during the worse period of my life, juggling the copious amount of new medications he threw at me, new life problems began to surface. Covid was a struggle for everyone, and I am sure he was no exception either. However, I have been trying to get in touch with him for over four/five months to get a simple refill and only to receive radio silence. I have reached out to him through Patient Portal and even called his office directly; however, there has been no news regarding my request. Perhaps it might be the influx of new patients he has taken in, or I've just fallen lower in priority. Regardless I have never felt so abandoned by a healthcare provider in my time of need.

Thanks to Dr. Wen I have been able to continue my recovery journey. Long time patient with nothing but respect and gratitude for Mansfield Mental Health and Dr. Wen. I’ve struggled with doctors all my life for fear of judgment and embarrassment. Dr. Wen is attentive and caring. His dedication to psychiatric care is apparent with every visit. A compassionate doctor is who you need when struggling with addition. Long term maintenance is possible. Everyone is different, and you’ll be in great care with Dr. Wen.

Dr. Wen is an amazing psychiatrist. Goes above and beyond for his patients. He has helped me so much with my mental health and medication management. Hands down the best psychiatrist I have ever seen and I have seen quite a few.

Dr. Wen is great, he does his job very well. If you are seeking a psychiatrist I would highly recommend Dr. Wen.

As someone who was coming off of two very bad experiences with psychiatrists, I was extremely nervous to try again with a new one for the third time. However, Dr. Wen was amazing. He is genuinely caring and compassionate and does an amazing job explaining things to his patients.

Dr Wen was very attentive and understanding throughout my visit. I appreciated not worrying about checking the clock every few minutes. I did not feel rushed and felt he listened and heard my concerns.
