Dr. Geeta Patel, MD

In 2022 I received a call from my mom incredibly upset. Crying and beside herself. My mom went in with serious concerns and symptoms. Dr. Patel was fixated on my mother's weight and didn't feel she needed to examine her for the issues she went in for. An issue that has NOTHING to do with weight. She was blatant about showing her disdain and hesitation on examining my mother. It was humiliating and hurtful! It appears my mom wasn't the only one who fell victim to Dr. Patel's terrible practice and insensitivity. This was not her first experience with Dr. Patel nor was it the first time she's made my mom feel this way. Evidently not the only one she's made feel terribly causing them to cry. No doctor should ever make a patient feel less than comfortable. Do better Dr. PatelIt took almost a year before my mom was comfortable enough going to see another doctor. I must share with you my experience that I had this morning with Geeta Patel. M.D. I went in for an exam. She was in a rush I felt. After sitting in that examination room for almost an hour and when she walked in it was quick. I would ask her questions and all she kept on saying was she was going to refer me to another hospital. She didn't seem to want to examine me at all. I suggested to her to examine me and she hesitated and brought to my attention my obesity. That wasn't why I walked in to see her. I had some concerns about what was going on I am a 66 year old woman. All she wanted to do was stand in the room with her non-professional assistant. What type of medical clinic is this and all she did was a swab seems like it was hurting her to do so. No interest about your well being or compassion very cold and disconnected. Do not waste your time with this doctor. I left in tears feeling less than. No physician should ever make you feel this way.

It was my first time going to a gynecologist and I was nervous. I don't think the doctor introduced herself, but I think it was Dr Patel. I thought she would ask me about my history and let me talk about my issues, but no. She came in very abruptly and got a swab. She said I need to get a pap smear, told me they will culture the swab, and said I need to come back in a few days when they get the results (I have not received any email with results), and left. The interaction/appointment lasted maybe five minutes. I sat there not sure what to do, so I waited a few minutes, then left. I cried after I left, from nerves, stress, and confusion. I don't know if this quick and impersonal of an appointment is standard practice, but I've had more thorough examinations at Urgent Care than I did at this place. I have already scheduled an exam at a different office that seems to be warmer and kinder in their approach. I will not be coming back.

Would like to give zero star but I guess that's not possible. Pls do yourself a favor and go some place else. She has poor bedside manners and will not spend 3 minutes of her time with you. Does not go over the plan of care, lab results, hence, doesn't know her patients.

I took my 88 yr old mother to Dr Patel. She was so patient and kind. Took her time explaining everything. She has change the quality of life for my mother Thank you

I was pregnant and begun going to this dr at week 14 (insurance changed) and left at week 30. She did not explain anything to me about anything nor spend any appreciable amount of time with me. It's my first pregnancy and I didn't feel supported or that she even knew anything about me. The last straw was when she told me to go to the ER AFTER I called and asked if I should come in for an appointment. I wasted my time going there just for her to tell me she couldn't do much for me and to go to ER

Sorry to be honest this office no professional , Staff are not friendly Doctors doesn't check you well at all, she always in hurry the Waite in the office is particulars once u go in the Doc don't look at your chart you have to ask all she check is the baby heart she doesn't even take a second . She is not friendly or willing to help she has not enough knowledge . I would never come to her . This office like a business Doc doesn't care

Dr. Patel has horrible interpersonal skills. I saw her for 3 months when I was pregnant. I left 4 out of 5 appointments in tears. She is brisk to the point of rudeness, blunt, and shows no compassion. She misdiagnosed my delivery date based on flawed ultrasound reports (from the ultrasound clinic she recommends) despite my explanation of my actual conception date; she estimated I was a month farther along than I was, resulting in a false positive screening for Downs Syndrome. Find another Dr!
