Dr. Levinthal is great!
I had an Emergency Room Endoscopy and had an amazing experience. Gavin explained everything perfectly, was easy going, and cleared out my Bile Ducts. I was scared from out of this world and you can't ask for better. Thanks Gavin!

Sloppy precedures in the office
I was scheduled to have an endoscopy. Got all prepped at the surgicenter, but it turns out his office never told me to refrain from taking my blood thinners 5 days before, nor did they get clearance from my cardioligist to do that, so I had to cancel the procedure after getting the IV in and all that goes along with the prep. Unacceptable. This coupled with the fact that they tried to cancil my inaugural appointment with the doc because 'something came up' makes me think they are not trustworthy.

I was admitted to Thomas Peak Hospital and the emergency room care Dr and staff were great. I hadan endoscopic one day and the I had not met Dr. Leventhal was great and Dr. Skolnik put me right to sleep. The nursing staff was very friendly but of course I ran my mouth as usual when I am scared. Then had a colonoscopy. That GoLightly stuff is just great. LOL. Then back to the same room same friendly staff and of course Dr. Leventhal was great. Now, waiting for my follow up appointment. I would highly recommend Dr. Leventhal.

A knowledgeable, thorough Dr., the kind I like…
Dr, Levinthal seems very thorough and knowledgeable. Every question I asked before and after my endoscopy was answered in detail. The discussion of the findings was again thorough. I prefer Dr.’s, a bit on the blunt side, just tell me what’s-what, and what we can do about it. If you’re like me, Dr. Levinthal is a great choice!

The Singging Doc.
Dr Levinthal did my Endo and colonoscopy at the same time. I was nervous and I had not met him prior. He and his staff sang along to the music and made me laugh in the procedure room to calm my nerves prior. What a great and FUN bedside manner!

I would not recommend him to anyone. I was admitted to Thompson Peak for 3 days. I was scheduled for a hiatal hernia repair. He did a endoscopy. He decided that he would have a meeting with the hospital...long story short..due to "risk sharing " he had my repair canceled. I got sent home with 2 drugs that are worthless and I aspirate daily and still have the hernia severe pain. WORST BEDSIDE MANNER EVER..GOD COMPLEXED MAN. GO ELSEWHERE IF YOU NEED REAL HELP.

Entirely displeased with Dr. Levinthal and his entire office. Office staff insisted they had no openings for months, after 2 ER visits and pleading to call in the event of a cancellation, and all of a sudden they had numerous openings??? I guess they don’t care unless you’re bleeding out? Gathered a ton of information to take to my first appointment with Levinthal, as I’m from a different state and have been doing tests for 3 years determining what could be wrong. Dr. Levinthal let me explain my issue, and then offered absolutely 0 advice or help in return. The visit was in fact quite awkward, as HE is the medical professional and should be leading the appointment. Told me he couldn’t help me at all until he had the results of another test. Paid $50 copay for him to stare at me and tell me he couldn’t help. I agreed to get the test done, but then Dr. L became too busy to return a single phone call. Avoid this money hungry imbecile and find literally anybody else.

Levinthal is the worst Dr. I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. He walks in all high and mighty, he thinks everyone is an alcoholic if you’re having gi issues that can be caused be alcohol, good luck he won’t believe you no matter what. He does NOT explain anything to you (it’s beneath him) Levinthal typically decides if he likes you within 30 seconds after he finally walks in the room to see you and your level of care is based off of this-if he doesn’t like you, you are out of luck.

It took 4 reschedules to get a procedure date. The initial office visit was a waste of time & could have been done over the phone. The Dr has zero bedside manner before or during the procedure. I was asked to come in for a consult after. Took the day off and this meeting was about 10 mins long with a few questions and a decision that I had no real problem and I could come back in 2 mos. Not doubt so the Dr could ring the cash register again.

Arrived at 8:30AM appt. at 8:37AM, all pre-appointment paperwork completed and in hand to be told I was late and therefore would need to reschedule more than month our in the future. Sorry about being retired and not figuring in rush hour traffic? No. You are late. I am only here in the winter months so the wait means next fall? No, you are late. Anyone sitting in the waiting room waiting for their appt.? No. You are late. Good-bye. Ok. Goodbye.

I have been experiencing extreme stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting for months now. I started seeing Dr. Levinthal at the beginning of my issues and he and his office have been nothing but a hassle to deal with. Even after visiting the ER after throwing up blood I was surprised that his office could not get me in for OVER A MONTH. That is unacceptable in every way. After waiting that month, Levinthal saw me for less than 10 minutes before rushing out the door. AWFUL quality of care.

Dr. Levinthal This specialist is highly intelligent, is compassionate and searches for the answer as we need him to. He reads the records carefully, asks the questions that are pertinent, and some may even save your life. I've been with him 20 years, I recommend my children and grandchildren to him. When my spleen was ruptured he caught the problem, in which a surgeon, 8 other doctors did not. So, I can truthfully say he is worth the time to get to know.

This physician's address was wrong on their website and after arriving to the wrong location and calling the clinic, they informed me that, even though I was 5 minutes late that they would be rescheduling my appointment as they don't see patients after 7 minutes late. Dr. Levinthal doesn't seem to really be interested in his patients and is disconnected whenever he's in the room. He only tried a single medication before prescribing a diagnostic procedure that I'm still not sure was necessary.
