Best surgeon
Excellent doctor and an excellent person! Dr Hartman is a doctor with a heart. Wish more doctors were like him. Can't thank him enough for treating my son first from appendix and soon we have a hernia surgery scheduled. He is the very best!

Our daughter has been Dr. Hartman's patient since she was 3-yr old due to a complicated rectal fistula problem. We have visited Dr. Hartman and his team more than 40 times and our daughter underwent more than 10 surgeries in the past 4 years. Dr. Hartman is an amazing surgeon and a wonderful person. He is professional, competent and methodical as he is caring, loving and humorous. Dr. Hartman always considers the our daughter's best interest in the long term and never fails to explain every little detail about the surgery plan to us parents. For a world-renowned surgeon, he is egoless, and always ready and willing to reach out to other doctors to investigate the best solution. With Dr. Hartman, we feel very confident that our daughter is in good hands. Our daughter's last procedure was one year ago. She is completely cured and lives a happy healthy life, all thanks to the great work of Dr. Hartman and his team.

Stellar Man and Surgeon. He had incredible bedside manner and a beautiful heart. Even more important he was skilled in service performed...however nothing is more comforting to you and and your child as someone who is kind and of gentle explanatory nature. I wish he was an surgeon for adults too- but I am very thankful he does what he does for children. My child and I were as confident about him as he turned out to be.(hernia surgery)

Surgery for pectus excavatum repair was on 7/7/16 but Dr. Hartman has been checking on my son for the last 3 years. Since day 1, he demonstrated to be very knowledgeable, experienced, kind and a great person. He really understands the patient's perspective. My son had no fear about the surgery and most of that confidence came from the talks he had with Dr. Hartman who answered very every little question that we had. Dr. Hartman's team at the office and in the operating room are fabulous!

Dr. Hartman performed an appendectomy on my son about 10 days ago at Good Samaritan Hospital. Any nurses that heard he was our surgeon said that we were very lucky, and indeed we were. He was so reassuring and gentle when he came to have a chat to us and our son. We knew immediately that we were in good hands. The surgery went so smoothly and our 11 year old was able to walk 21 laps of the Pediatric ward the same day as his surgery! Thank you Dr. Hartman!

Dr. Hartman is such a loving, caring doctor. He took the time to talk with my daughter about the surgery he was going to perform and why he needed to do it. He got to know her (with questions about siblings etc.) and was reassuring the entire time. He also did a great job clinically. He gave me utter confidence and had the caring demeanor one would want from any surgeon. Fantastic surgery experience.
