I highly recommend Dr. Friend. Nice man, careful listener, and skilled medical specialist. Corrected my hammertoe using a cutting-edge technology used by few, if any other Chicago-area podiatrists. This is an significant, operating-room procedure. Dr. Friend's surgical work completely eliminated the considerable pain I had previously felt when walking or running. Even better, I felt virtually no pain after the anesthetic wore off and throughout the 2-month recovery. Can't ask for more.

Dr Friend seemed to be guessing at what was causing my foot pain, using a process of elimination rather than diagnosing. Money is more important than anything else. I was sent a notice to come in. Even though it was sent in error Dr Friend looked at my shoes and had me walk in his hallway (all fine). Then he charged me as if it had not been a mistake on their part. I questioned it and did not receive my money back as staff would not verify with him. I guess they just know to collect the money.

I spent over 45 minutes filling out paper work making sure the doctor would get his money. When I did see him he said that I had a wort on bottom of my foot, that he would take care of it. He open a small bottle and applied one drop of wort remover and I received a bill for 250 dollars after insurance paid there part. I came to get help with fugus which was on my toes, nothing else. I was not asked or told about this 250 dollar procedure. If I would of known that it would cost that much, no way.

My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Friend for his unwavering dedication. Along with his talent, kind smiles and compassion he brought hope at a time when I was told I would have to live with pain and strong pain meds for the rest of my life. It is a frightening prospect being a patient and feeling tremendously helpless. Dr. Friend?s commitment to find a better answer, a better approach ended my pain completely. How can you thank someone appropriately for giving you back your life? Thank you Dr. Friend.
