Consideration of patients concerns
Dr. Banks has been my primary physician for over eight years and as I am 82 years old I have presented him with a variety of conditions. He has been very open with those conditions he felt prepared to handle and has referred me to excellent specialists when he believed that was appropriate, I have never been disappointed in either approach. Always willing to discuss anything and has an appreciation for individual medical procedures on the whole person as well as the patients family. I am leaving Dr. Banks practice only because we are moving out of the area.

Dr Banks was quick to get me in to Bluwater Bone and Joint when I had an emergency situation. With him jumping in immediately I had surgery and am now in recovery. Dr Banks is amazing! I am grateful!

A patient for 17 years
I have been a patient of Dr. Banks for 17 years. I have had other doctors in the 60+ years of my life, but when my peers recommended him years ago because I had a mysterious bleeding ailment it was a lucky day for me. He knew right away that it was a thyroid problem and fixed me up in no time. I have been a Registered Nurse for 28 years; therefore, I am a stubborn opinionated person. I am sure that he sometimes wishes that I would go find another doctor, but I have continued going to him all of these years because his diagnosis, recommendations, and treatments are correct.

Wonderful Dr
I am 68 years old and have been going to Dr. Banks for about 10 years. I think he is absolutely amazing. I have never had to wait more than five minutes to see him for a scheduled appointment. I see people complain about his sense of humor, but I find him direct and very easy to talk. I have IBS and have been to doctors since my 20s with no success. He now has me on a medication that keeps my condition under control and I have a new life thanks to him.

Still a Family Doctor in Town
I have been a patient of Dr. Banks for over 20 years. He practices medicine the old fashion way and takes time to listen to your issues. He is proactive in treatment and has a broad knowledge base to draw upon. His recent flu shot program comes to mind as an innovative way to take care of his patients. He has scaled back his practice, but those of us still with him could not be happier.

Doctor banks is a good doctor. I'll give him that. But his staff aren't very knowledgeable on how to send scripts to base. I've been chasing down our scripts for years. And the worse of this his Nurse (Lisa) and his administration specialist (Amber) don't have a clue. He seems more concern for his staff then he does his patients.

Doesn't want to be a dr,
I overheard him tell another dr that he didn't want to be a dr for anything more than cannabis. I agreed to pay an additional arbitrary fee to be seen within 24 hours. When I did try to utilize that option for acute symptons I still had to wait over 30 hours and he treated me rudely, then didn't get back to me for over a week.

Waited over 2 hours for doctor banks, he made my easy paperwork difficult. He wanted multiple visits & time consuming paperwork. Extra money for things that other doctors don’t charge for & im very concerned that they asked for my insurance paperwork since my insurance won’t pay for mmj. They also don’t answer the tel & are only at their Destin location once a month. I do not recommend this doctor if you value your time & money.

Dr Banks was so nice to me and appears very caring. I was a bit nervous since I had read some bad reviews but then I was well pleased. He did not rush me, he asked me a lot of questions and took notes, he looked at my meds, he checked me. If he stays this nice/caring then I would recommend him highly. His staff was nice also, esp Lisa If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you to Dr Banks and Staff!!

I have greatly appreciated having Dr. Banks as my doctor. I was referred to him by my parents and, while initially I was a little thrown off by his sense of humor and very direct approach, I've found him to be extremely thorough. He focuses on what's best for you as the patient and can be firm sometimes, but he's firm because he knows what he's talking about and he knows what's best for you as the patient. He's willing to work with you and answers questions. Great doctor!
