Someone should have told me that this DR didnt accept my insurance in the ER... Which is BCBS.. I would have refused to see him. Or have him "claim" to see me... Of all the drs I saw he was Not one of them and now I owe him 1200 dollars because as and emergency room Dr he only accepts medicare... Vert Wrong in my opinion.

I saw Dr. Vanderveldt in the emergency room at Tennova in October of 2017. He did a nice job of treating my problem. However, at no time did he, or anyone at the hospital, mention this doctor does not accept Blue Cross insurance. This hospital is in the BCBS network of providers, but he is not a participating doctor. Therefore I am looking at a bill for $1,336.00 that I should not have had to pay. If I had known this doctor did not accept insurance, I would have requested a different doctor.
