I had Cataract surgery 5 years ago with this doctor and opted for crystalens that was highly recommended to reduce my reading problem. 5 years alter , I have the same problems that led me to have cataract surgery!!cataract surgery. Not happy with crystalens.

Worst experience of my life. Cataract surgery went horribly wrong resulting in weeks of near total blindness. He had no idea what had happened and immediately wanted to yank out the lens and put in another because he suspected he had placed the wrong lens in my eye. I knew that there was a serious infection despite his refusal to hear this. My stalling proved this and after 5 months the sight normalized. Several times in the 5 months he swore the eye had stabilized and wrote eyeglass prescriptions. I went thru 3 incorrect prescriptions and spent hundreds of dollars on glasses only to find the glasses useless. Beware and trust your instincts.

Dr. Kandeval is not only an amazingly brilliant doctor but he is one of the most incredible human beings. He volunteers all over the world, giving his time to give sight to those who would have no hope of being healed without him and his team. More than that…I suddenly developed sight issues in one eye over the weekend. I called his service to ask them to leave a message with the office on Monday morning asking to be seen as soon as possible. Within ten minutes Dr. Kandeval called me himself. This was a Sunday afternoon. I heard him check with his wife and then he asked me if I could meet him at his office in two hours! When was the last time your doctor was willing to leave his family to go into the office to help a patient? Unheard of! I simply cannot recommend this kind soul and incredibly talented doctor enough !!

Great DOCTOR

Very good doctor but a horribly run office. He seems over book by the dozens. Wait times can run hours and parking is expensive. Not sure it is worth this much aggravation.

Hollywood won't, but SHOULD, make a film about this unassuming doctor who literally changed my life by implanting Crystalens AO IOL lenses in both my eyes over the course of two weeks. I keep walking around wide eyed, looking at things I couldn't see before but now can, thanks to Dr. Kandavel. If this man isn't a superhero there isn't one. My title for the movie about him? The Amazingly Incredible Dr. Rom. Hollywood, he's ready for his close up.
