Dr Shankar staff
Never got to see him. I waited a long time for the visit but his staff was unprofessional. They take the phone off the hook so you cannot reach the office. They also have an answering service.. once you call you are connected to another answering service. You have to leave a message. I did twice but was at the staff bet and call. All I needed was an answer to two questions before the visit. Dr Shankar need better staff.

Worth the wait!
I was originally booked 4 months out from seeing the doctor. I called every day for a cancellation and my appointment got moved up. His office staff is pleasant and professional. Dr. Shankar reviewed my MRI with me and was clear and concise about my problem with my spine. He offered me 3 options to repair it and explained each one very clearly. I never felt rushed and felt great rapport with the surgeon.

In 2020 I was diagnosed with cervical stenosis. After months of tests and doctors visits I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Shankar. What a blessing! I had surgery in October and made the right decision.

He is worth the wait. Prior to meeting Dr. Shankar, I saw three three surgeons and ruled each one out for various reasons. Upon meeting Dr. Shankar, I was impressed with his calm and confident demeanor. He spoke to me not at me. He listened to my woes, did not rush and was most patient. It did not take long for me to realize that I had found the surgeon I wanted to operate on me. I was so relieved, I cried. The surgery on my back went extremely well. Where as previously I was in acute pain and could not stand straight, I am now good as new. I sing his praises to all who will listen. Thank you, Dr. Shankar.

Dr. Shankar is the most caring and compassionate doctor I have ever had. He is an excellent neurosurgeon. He takes the time to explain everything thoroughly. I had an unfortunate accident and he was there for me and my family. I am very lucky and thankful for Dr. Shankar. His assistant, Veronica is very efficient and friendly.

One of the kindest and thoughtful surgeons. Really understood my disease process, communicated effectively with me and my primary care provider and did a great job with my surgery. Would recommend him to any of my family members.
