Dr. Gabriella Gerstle, MD

When I was seeing her (3-4 years) she never kept an appt. She always had one of her office staff call the reschedule. I was going for 3-4 month recalls and all of them were rescheduled. Every single one of them! And, no matter what time the appt was, she was always late. Her staff would apologize for her tardiness. She never had morning appts. so I scheduled for the first in the afternoon(always after 2:30. She was always doing rounds" but it happened after everyone of them. And, do not ever ask the staff for help with paperwork. They treated patients all the same. Go in with extreme kindness and You might get some assistance. Reminded me of the "Soup Nazi" on Seinfeld. I always showered the staff with kindness Cause I knew they were annoyed at everything. Her Personality and bedside manner was OK , but dont ever complain to the staff. You could tell they were going to "go off" if you were not in line.......

After having been treated by Dr. Gerstle I was quite disappointed. She requested that I make a follow visit in 1-3 days so that we could review test taken at the hospital and discuss further treatment. Upon calling to make this appointment I was told that I could be seen between 6-8 weeks. This is something she routinely tells her patients at the hospital know that she should not be making this commitment and that it would be impossible to be seen. I think that Dr Gerstle should recommend another doctor who would be able to see you, especially when a complete diagnosis is critical. I am hoping that the Doctor will review her policy and make the necessary changes.

Dr. Gerstle is the Neurologist on call for besthesda west Hospital. I was admitted with a possible T.I.A. and so she came to evaluate me.....at !:05 A.M. It was not an emergency so that I found awakening me at that hour was totally unnecessary. No apology. Her "exam" took 7 minutes and was totally useless. No questions asked and I was not given time to relay any of my physical complaints. (I ws also too sleepy). I might add that this was the second time I had to have her consultation only last time she camre at midnight. She is also test "crazy" . Orders many tests that are unnecessary.

This so called Neurologist saw my mom who has a history of dementia for a consultation for medical management while she was hospitalized for a broken hip. She evaluated and woke up my mom at midnight the night she had surgery. Who does that. I was horrified that she did this to my poor mom. She wrote orders for my mom to have testing done in the hospital that she didn't need, which caused my mom physical and mental pain. Stay far away from this person.

Never saw her. She never returned our calls.

I may have to pay $1330. and return my sleep apnea machine because of what looks like an oversight in their office. Medicare turned down my claim because they did not file within 30 days, or at all, it appears. I have a deadline now where I Not only do patients have to wait hours, the chairs are uncomfortable, and if you ask for an apology from the doctor, she blames the nurses. And I happen to know she wasn't in the building.The nurses talk about the dr, and each other. A terrible experience.

Just want to say how wonderful caring Dr Gerstle and her great staff are to my husband and myself If I had to rate Dr Gerstle and her staff from 1-10 I would give a rating of 100+ They all go above and beyond how she and her staff take care of all their patients My husband is her patient and I am there for support and caregiving The whole office are even involved in how I feel That tells me how much they all care. I have recommended to family friends to her and her staff Thank you the Leonard's

I can tell you that Dr. Gerstle is worth the wait! When I see her, she has always given me the time to express my concerns and addressed every one appropriately. I feel the treatments and tests that have been ordered by her for me have been in my best interest. I have worked in the surgical aspect of medicine for 30 years before becoming disabled. I am glad to have found her. Again...worth the wait!!

Dr. Gerstle is very knowledgeable and thorougher. We feel so blessed to have been referred to her. She makes you feel very comfortable and allows you to express your concerns and she's a great listener. She also took a lot of time with us. The office staff is amazing too.

Initially I waited forever, 4 to 5 hours to meet regarding my condition in the hospital Later the same wait for permission to leave. Later when getting ready to go to an appointment I was told to call a couple hours before to check on the doctor to see if I would need to reschedule. Always late? Yes.

If you decide to pursue Gerstle as your physician, don?t say you were never warned. Just read her reviews. The truth speaks for itself. I'm hoping this saves someone else from experiencing the same severe hardship as we have. If you value your life and that of your loved ones, STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM GABRIELLA GERSTLE AS YOU CAN!
