He saved my life.
I was in my mid-20s and had developed a large acoustic neuroma. I was flown from Germany to see Dr. Poff. It's been almost 25 years now, and I am still here. I read a few reviews about people having to wait for appointments or feeling rushed during their appointment. This man is capable of opening a skull and operating on your brain. I will gladly tolerate the trivial for a steady hand.

Wonderful Doc!
My husband and I have both dealt with Dr. Poffenbarger. My husband had disc replacement surgery and has recovered beautifully. Dr P. Went to bat for him with our insurance company and got the disc replacement in his neck approved, this has been a real game changer for my husband as he is a busy and very hardworking rancher and at 65 his neck and shoulder feel better than they have in years! I am now dealing with Dr.P with both a neck and hand issue, he has been kind, professional and taken the least invasive methods to deal with my issues. He took the time to listen and explain everything in detail. He is a say it like it is kinda guy we like that! Thanks Doc.

Two surgeries, lower back and neck. Both were excellent and gave me tremendous relief in arms, legs and back pain went away. Dr. Poff, his PA, and staff we all great to work with. I got a new lease on life at the age of 63 and could continue working. I would highly recommend him.

I appreciate Dr. Poff for making it possible for me to walk while waiting for my spine to become stronger before surgery. I appreciate his attitude to a 71 year old lady and his patience with me. He explains all my options as we proceed to the day I can have surgery. Thank you Dr. Poff, we have all good things to say about you. Your are my hero...!!!

Dr. Poffenbarger was very accommodating to my hearing loss. He took time to answer my questions and did a thorough explanation of the procedure, risks and benefits, follow-up needed, after surgery care, etc. Very pleased with his patient centered approach. Very personable.

My husband was experiencing a neurological issue and we met with Dr. Poffenbarger for a possible brain shunt. My husband has very slow response and movement. Dr. Poffenbarger seemed to have very little patience with my husband and commented on a few of his answers by saying "it's a yes or no question". We were very off put by his demeanor and definitely would not recommend him or use his service.

Dr. Poff accurately diagnosed my problem, was quick to get the situation taken care of and has been very active in the follow up care needed. He has never failed to answer questions and explain things in easy to understand ways. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor for my back

I found dr. poffenbarger to be very professional and compassionate. I cant say enough about him and his staff a BHBB&J. My entire experience with him and his staff was positive from every point of view. From a damn near crippling condition to being back to living an active lifestyle that I'm used to is truly a blessing. The staff was great in dealing with insurance wasn't so much so. highly recommend BHBB&J in general and DR. Poffenbarger in particular

Dr. Poffenbarger needs to take a lesson on compassion and empathy! He needs to understand that people come to him with issues of pain and needing help. He interrupted me several times when I was describing what my pain and injury issues were and basically talked down to me the whole time. He did not make good eye contact and his demeanor was very arrogant. No thanks! I would like a physician that is willing to listen to me and then make an assessment on my condition. His plan? A cocktail of medications to mask my pain. What a joke!!!

I have a Christmas miracle story for you or a mothers mission.. In September my 17 year old son Logan Gould Started experiencing sever pain in his left leg, we went to his regular dr, and he ordered an mri on his leg, yet nothing showed up, a couple weeks later he started to need a cane to walk with assistance, cause his leg hurt so bad and putting weight on it made it worse. We then went to a local orthopedic dr who ordered a mri of his back knowing this is not normal after seeing the results t

I thought I had researched Dr. Poffenbarger well prior to making my appointment. I was in dire need of surgery so may have skipped some. Big mistake! This man is condescending and refused to listen or care what I had to say or what other physicians or therapists had found. Constantly talking over the top of me and all the calling me a liar at more than one appointment. I have had a LOT of physicians treat me over the years and have never been treated like I was by Dr. Poffenbarger.

Dr. Poffenbarger is remarkable! His skill and ability restored sensory and dexterity, both of which are necessary to provide care for patients. I woke up being able to feel my fingertips (after months of numbness), so I would be able to feel pulses on patients post cath! I still rave about his work, and people are still impressed with the minimal scar that I bear. Dr. Poffenbarger also gave me back my strength and independence with my farm activities!! THANK YOU DR. POFF!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!

Discovered and corrected a situation resulting from an auto accident which could have left me paralyzed from the neck down. His "bedside manner" is excellent, listening to my problem and explaining the importance and consequences of the surgery.
