Dr. Furha Iram Cossor, MD

Was uncertain and afraid. She immediately set me at ease. Her attending staff follow her example. I will make it through my affliction with my faith in God and Dr. Cossor's skillful practicing. The first 5 mins. is to answer my questions. Then comes the recommendations that I follow completely. St. Lukes is fortunate to have her on staff and so am I. I am tough to give ratings yet she deserves the highest.

Dr. Cossor was my oncologist-hematologist in Massachusetts. So far, she's cured my CLL. I was opting for the 'easy' treatment, and she said, 'No. We're gonna go with the aggressive treatment because if there's a next time, you'll be too old to withstand it.' I responded immediately to her treatment, and I can't thank her enough. She's a 'take charge' doc, which tells you you're in good hands, and she tells the unvarnished truth, which we all know is rare. I always looked forward to my visits with her -- of course, her treatment was working, so I had nothing to complain about -- except for the fact that she left for Kansas City. My current oncologist likes to take credit for her work, but I remind him that I was cured before he met me.

Dr.Cossor is taking very good care of me....she'd given me a blood transfusion. I needed this badly, because the other hospital never did this-my heart became damaged without blood. The other thing she did was lower my Cancer drug- I haven't felt this good in years...she communicates with you on everything; and, is truthful concerning your prognosis. The staff is warm and knowledgeable, I truly thank God for Dr. Cossor!

This doctor's attitude was dismissive. She did not want to discuss my condition with me. Her policy was like, "I am the doctor; just do what I say." She refused to examine me, even when I pointed out a lump that had been growing. I ended up pursuing a cancer doctor elsewhere to check out the lump. It is malignant, and months had passed that I could have known and been treated (before COVID19) if only this doctor had helped me.

I was not very impressed with Dr. Cossor. She seemed uninterested in my condition and aced like I was keeping her from something she'd rather be doing.
