My Experience With Dr. Tackey's Office
Dr. Tackey is a very good doctor. I have been very happy with his care. No complaints there. Unfortunately and sadly, that has not been the case with his assistant. She has been rude since day one and it's only getting worse. I was advised to follow up with Dr. Tackey when I was discharged from the hospital. When I called to make the appointment he was out of town. I had to wait 2 weeks to see him. When I arrived at my appointment I waited an hour for her to tell me that I wasn't on the schedule which I knew was a mistake. She left me sitting in the waiting room without any explanation. When I asked why she said I didn't have a referral. I told her I did. She checked and there it was. Dr. Tackey ordered a chest CT. She said she would schedule it. Weeks have gone by so I followed up. She was inexcusably rude and dismissive, too much to write here. Even though I don't want to, I am forced to find a new pulmonary specialists. Thank you for your care Dr. Tackey!

I am a licensed physician whose parent was admitted to his service from the ER. I tried multiple times to communicate directly with Dr Tackey regarding his care for my parent. I requested updates but did not get them. I called his office both during and after hours but was treated with contempt by his staff. Only on the day of admission did he dain to call me. Not once during the four day hospitalization did he provide me with updates. He (and the hospital staff) never provided a plan for discharge. I have never seen such disregard for the family member holding the medical power of attorney by an attending, especially when the patient has mild dementia. The lack of professionalism exhibited by this healthcare provider is the most egregious that I have encountered in my forty year career.

Dr Tackey REFUSED to submit a single page electronic request so I can get a vaccine to keep me alive. I have COPD and two other issues and I’m just a little under 65. I guess he couldn’t be bothered. This is a doctor who doesn’t go even a tiny bit over and above for a patient. Inexcusable.

Dr. Tackey is EXCELLENT and KNOWS HIS STUFF!!!!!! Though he is not much of a talker, he communicates WELL with other drs and updates them constantly!!!!!! He quickly pulls in other specialists when needed. Other drs spoke VERY HIGHLY of him and said he would contact them if he needed them again in the future. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!!!!!!!!!

Was admitted thru the ER with a SEVERE respiratory infection. My course of 10 days included chest tubes, IV antibiotics and OR procedure to clean out my chest cavity of pus. I was soo sick, I was ready to give up. Wtih Dr Tackey daily visits of intense and expert monitoring, I was able to pull thru. The other drs on my care spoke very highly of his knowledge and care.

Didn't introduce himself when entered the room...(didn't know he was the Dr). Very unfriendly and almost rude.... Shoots off questions and doesn't seem interested in your answers. I would never recommend anyone to him and I won't be going back...

Only problem is he doesn't spend enough time with patient. He needs to smile when coming into room. He knows what he's talking about and take very good care of you in an emergency
