SIX Stars for Dr. Snoy!
I have experienced nine bladder cancer surgeries since its onset in 1996, five surgeries within two years prior to meeting Dr. Snoy in 2000. I was in trouble. Another medical professional in the field of urology oncology indicated they had not seen anyone survive beyond six years with the frequency of recurrence and extent of the cancer I had. Dr. Snoy was also initially perplexed by my condition and cancer history, but due to his persistence, knowledge, expertise and four surgeries, I have been cancer free for the last 17 years. Even confirmed cancer free by other urology oncologists since my last surgery, they were amazed considering the extent of my cancer history. Although he initially seemed a bit aloof, Dr. Snoy answered my questions even before I thought of them because he took the time to explain what was going on. He was very professional, extremely knowledgeable, personable, and truly caring and compassionate. I miss him since his retirement. Thank you, Dr. Snoy! SIX STARS!

I was sorry to hear that Dr. Snoy is retiring. Prior to seeing Dr. Snoy, I experienced several problems with bladder stones and kidney stones over a period of several years and had several procedures done to relieve those problems at Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda MD. Unlike my previous physicians, Dr. Snoy tested my urine and found that it was very acidic, in fact the most acidic that he has ever seen! He then prescribed Potassium Citrate to raise my urine pH. After over a year this medicine has completely eliminated my stone problem. Since taking this medicine I have seen no stone fragments in my urine. Because this seemed to be such a simple diagnosis and treatment, I am amazed that none of Walter Reed’s doctors were able to see this. I will remain extremely grateful to Dr. Snoy and the expertise that he has gained over the years. I am sure he also will be missed by many of his other patients.

Dr. Snoy is not very friendly. He often seems very preoccupied, too busy to give any personal attention. Worse yet, he has what is the most incompetent staff I have ever encountered! They are friendly enough but seem unable to do anything completely or correctly!

Honestly, the least caring and intellectually incurious individual I have ever met. He saw me for 5 minuets, didn't attempt to get to the bottom of the diagnosis and sent me on my way. Completely useless and a joke of a doctor.

I had a very bad experience. I saw him because I was in pain and Dr Snoy did not considee my previous health issues for his final diagnostic. He told me that my cystocele was not a problem. I saw a PT and I have a second degree blader prolapse that causes me lot of pain daily. He barely explained me the intervention he wanted to do. Of course I did not come back. Very bad bedside manners, very harsh.

He was curt, rude and ditched me in the hallway all three times I saw him. He changed the surgical plan without consulting me, treated me like I was a bother.

Dr Snoy was annoyed that I interrupted his day and I felt that with every visit. Very short/rude/and no personality at all. He needs to retire if he hates patients so much.

Dr. Snoy performed surgery on my mother to remove some cancerous tumors. She is 79 years old and we are very pleased with his professionalism and skills in the way he handled it. His staff has also been very caring and prompt in answering calls & questions. I highly recommend Dr. Snoy to take care of our elderly, as well as anyone seeking a good doctor to take care of urinary problems. Thank you, Dr. Snoy & staff.

Dr Snoy is attentive, caring and listens to his patients. There was no embarrassment discussing a difficult subject. He discusses treatment and plan of care. He has a great front desk staff, Erica works really hard to accommodate scheduling and patient needs.

My experience with Dr. Sony was the worst experience that I have ever had with a medical professional. I first saw him for what I thought was kidney stones. He performed, or should I say attempted to perform, a lithotripsy on my right ureter. He could not do it. On three different occasions he told me I may have cancer. All he did was different tests while my pain got worse. I got nowhere with him. He said I was a mystery and he did not know what to do. He needed Gods help.

I have been seeing Dr. Snoy for about 8 years. He determined that my high PSA readings (which the VA later wanted to do more biopsies for!) was caused by inflammation not cancer, and gave me a course of antibiotics. My PSA went from 29 to 2. I've stayed with him ever since. He is a really smart and thoughtful doctor. By thoughtful, I mean he thinks through whatever issue is at hand and shares it with you. You can't beat that.
