Dr. Frederick French, MD

Dr. French ignored and dismissed my sports medicine doctors notes and made me redo an ultrasound because he didn't believe I had a lipoma behind my knee. He also claimed my pain wasn't real and couldn't be associated with lipoma as there are no nerves in my knee. Inland ultrasound came back with identical findings and it was pushing on my nerves. I opted out of him doing my surgery.

Was taken to Sacred Heart for trauma surgery. (Dr. French was the surgeon on call.) I needed some of my intestines removed; the sewing of the two ends back together was done poorly and so feces leaked into my abdomen. After a week of getting sicker and sicker, another surgeon had to re-do the operation to sew the ends back together properly. Complications from internal scar tissue caused extreme pain. Dr. French took days to respond to my calls to the office for help. Office staff is rude; billing staff is a joke. I am still dealing with Billing a year later because they have billed using the wrong ICD codes for the surgery, and insurance then keeps kicking it back out. I've given up. Paid the whole bill ($2600) just to get these people out of my life. Permanently. I would rather die than deal with this surgical practice, most especially Dr. French, again. (BEWARE! They pretty much have a monopoly on all surgeries in this town if you want to use Sacred Heart)

Dr. French was very thorough and thoughtful. My wife and I both had surgeries recently by Dr. French, each time everyone in his office was very courteous and easy to work with. Both of us were very happy the surgery results and the entire experience!

Dr. French has a really chill vibe about him. He was thorough in his evaluation and explanation of the procedure. He listens well and addresses the questions asked directly and in plain English. Office staff was friendly, efficient, and timely. Phone calls were returned promptly and appointment scheduling was easy and flexible. These guys get an A+, and its well deserved.

Great doctor! Friendly, helpful, and comforting. I would highly recommend him and his team. We live in a time of get them in and get them out. This office was different. It had a welcoming vibe. Like they had known me forever. It was very refreshing. Dr. French performed an in office procedure on me and totally made me feel relaxed by speaking to me from start to finish. Thanks Dr. French and team.

I was traveling and had left leg pain. He added me to his schedule immediately. He was efficient,complete and informative. He personally did an ultrasound, explained the results and organized treatment. To be away from home and be managed in such a competent fashion was more than a pleasant surprise. I could not have received better care.

My experience with Dr. French and his staff was fantastic. He and his staff were professional, kind, and efficient. I was concerned about what I was dealing with and Dr. French made me feel at ease. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. I felt like I was his number one priority. I would highly recommend him to family, friends, and anyone needing a great general surgeon.

Very rude Doctor/person! Good luck with the office crew, they have trouble billing insurance...
