Dismissive
I met Dr. Harad yesterday. I was looking forward to our visit. Until he walked in the room. Dr Harad was very dismissive. I have a very rare disease that has vascular complications and when I told him the name of it he said what is that? I told him that I printed out literature and had it on the counter right behind him and his response was I’ll look at it later. He then tells me that my vascular testing was great. We have nothing to worry about. The man never even discussed my results with me!! Due to the seriousness of my disease I am supposed to be tested every year and this man said I’ll see you in two years. Later that night I got my results from Christiana Care and there are changes from the last time I was seen. Obviously Dr Harad is not concerned about it , or me as a patient. And yes, I understand that he is the vascular doctor and I don’t know squat, but could he have a little bit of compassion or at least act like he cared about my condition!! STAY AWAY

Dr. Harad may have a good reputation for his surgery skills, but he has very poor bedside manner. My 75 year old mom and I met him once (and have since switched surgeons). He did not even introduce himself when we met him. He spoke to us in a very harsh and demeaning way asking WHY ARE YOU HERE? The answer from my mom that her cardiologist recommended she see him was not good enough. He kept insisting - WHY ARE YOU HERE? He DID not explain anything in a way that we could understand. We explained to him that we would prefer more of a warm and fuzzy approach - that's what my mom needs - and he came right out and said WELL YOU CAME TO THE WRONG PLACE, THAT IS NOT ME. We do not want to be treated the way he treated us, so we have chosen another surgeon. Very turned off and would never recommend him for a patient looking for someone who needs a warm, inviting doc with a good bedside manner.
