I have a very rare, tricky health issue. I had seen 9 other doctors first who were unable to diagnose it. I went to Dr. Ellenson and had a diagnosis that fit perfectly with my symptoms, and a treatment plan to bring relief. I found him to be exactly what I want in a doctor. Caring and compassionate, very intelligent with understandable explanations and a concise well thought out treatment plan. He is the best! I don't hesitate to recommend him.

Dr. E seems alright. His clinic is poorly run by insufficient staff. Especially his manager who doesn't seem like she knows what she's doing. People seem to be poorly trained and lack customer service skills. Their billing department is atrocious and doesn't even tell you there's a 600 appointment fee needed to be paid before even getting seen. They only tell you that once you're at the appointment or get a call the day of. Then, if you can't pay, there are no alternative billing offerings and they are glad to cancel your appointment.

Fantastic doctor, very caring and knowledgeable. Only negative is that it can take a long time to get an appointment because he is so popular! I would recommend him to anyone who needed a top notch neurologist in Anchorage.

Beware! Problems in their records department combined with a serious lack of communication and regard for patients time and money make this office and doctor a 0 star experience. This office wanted to charge nearly $500!!!! In a new patient consult fee, despite the fact I had been seen here before! Next, doctor didn't have my records to have an educated medical discussion despite having over a month to acquire them. Complete waste of time and $ taking off work for this appt.. Do not go here!
