Fantastic surgeon for wound treatment
I came to Dr Ross with a horrible wound on my leg from a bad vein treatment. In a little over a month the wound was healed. He is very skilled and my top recommendation for wound treatment.

The worst doctor I’ve experienced ever.
Absolutely horrible. No bedside manner, snippy with both me and his own trainee, and it wasn’t even my appointment. I took my ELDERLY uncle for his legs. Was told in an extremely rude manner that it was incurable, that my uncle needs to “stop sitting around doing nothing all day”. the doctor said he was going to assign an at home nurse, never did that, rushed the appointment, didn’t do ANYTHING whatsoever besides ruin me and my uncles day and still billed my uncle for $270. No idea why this doctor is in practice, completely rude, unprofessional and a con. Never in my life have I seen a doctor so rude. We’ve since found a better doctor who is actually working with my uncles condition and it is slowly improving. So much for “incurable!”What a con.

Excellent Care
I approached Dr. Ross for hyperbaric treatment for non-healing soft tissue ulceration after chemoradiation therapy for treatment of anal cancer. I completed 50 treatments. As Dr Ross repeatedly made clear, the results of hyperbaric oxygen therapy are unique to each circumstance and each patient. I have a very complicated set of mitigating circumstances. Dr Ross, expertly monitored my progress with kindness and insight and helped me to understand the healing process at every stage. I am happy to say that after completing treatment I feel that the time spent in the hyperbaric chamber advanced my healing process. My thanks to Dr. Ross and the team at NYU Langone.

Excellent Care by Dr. Frank L. Ross!
Dr. Ross, saw the wound on my first visit to him, told me what had to be done. In addition to treating my leg wound with zinc and bandage, he said I would have to wear compression socks from now. In the meantime, I had to sleep with a pillow under my leg and keep my leg dry while showering. Every week the wound improved; finally he removed the 3 stitches the emergency doctor put on the wound; then gradually new skin formed. Finally, my leg was all better and I wear compression socks now and keep a night light on before I go to sleep! Dr. Ross is my hero: I am 83 years old, single and live alone!!!

Very fortunate to have been a patient of Dr. Ross
Dr. Ross has become yet another NYU hero to me. I was referred to him by another surgeon for a nagging postsurgery wound that was having great complications. Dr. Ross was so thorough with my wound and individualized my treatment each week dependent on how my wound responded. Not that it is needed or expected for very specialized MDs, but his bedside manner was fantastic and I always joined my appointments with him. His nurses were lovely, along with PT Dr. Lou. Very very grateful to have been treated by their practice, and thanks to them, I have graduated and can continue my rehabilitation process. Thank you! Alana

Non healed ulcerated oozing leg wound
This is a review on behalf of my disabled wife, the patient. We were referred to Dr. Ross by our primary care doctor for an non healing, ulcerated oozing wound on the lower leg with potential for dangerous infections after 4 weeks duration. After explaining the issue to the doctor’s staff, he was able to see us quickly. We found him to be a superb diagnostician, He immediately correctly diagnosed the the issues, recognized the underlying problems and even gave us a quick med school 101 lesson on the underlying causation factors here. My wife’s immediate medical condition cleared up within two visits. We also received specific helpful instructions for subsequent at home procedures to be followed. We found doctor Ross to be highly knowledgeable, very professional, friendly, and very personable our two visits to him. We would not hesitate in readily recommending him to others.

The real deal
Dr. Ross has been treating an open wound on my foot. He is honest, direct, and knows his stuff. He repeatedly tells me to keep my foot elevated above my heart if I want the injury to heal. I was delighted to learn that he is a former scuba diver who is Associate Director of the hyperbaric center at NYU Langone. Ross is the real deal.

I went to Dr Ross for almost a year. I had very very bad leg wounds that would not heal. He told me there was basically NOTHING that could be done and that I had to just do compression and keep legs up. I did what he said and paid him every week... nothing got better... I found another doctor in Mt vernon NY that treated me and in 6 months MY LEGS are TOTALLY healed!!!! no more open wounds, bleeding, swollen legs, wet socks etc... Dr. Ross is a crook and a quack in my opinion I WOULD NOT recommend him!!!! Thank you

I was hit by a car and sustained soft tissue injuries that included a painful leg abrasion/cellulitis wound that was taking a long time to heal. Thanks to Dr. Ross, Physician Asst. Tamar and staff, I received excellent care and treatments that also included a dressing called Xeroform that successfully healed my painful slow-healing leg wound. Thank you Dr. Ross!
