Poor patient care with minimal doctor care
What stood out the most was his speed and reluctance to speak with a patient about their concerns.I expressed my concerns several times at different appointments with the Dr. His lack of care about my concerns was omnipotent and I left.

Highly competent, friendly and professional
I have seen Dr. Colarusso monthly for the last year and he's always been professional, friendly and taken the time to answer any questions I had and explain all of my options and give recommendations. The staff are always friendly and very easily accessible for scheduling and appointment details. I'm honestly surprised by some of the other reviews on here, I think when you deal with people, many of who are in chronic pain, it's difficult to keep people happy.

Wonderful doctor
We have been patients for 8 yrs. He is an extraordinary knowledgeable and compassionate physician. His focus is on me. He absorbs every word and reacts to solve the problem which is usually pain relief. His treatment usually involves body manipulation as well as needle therapy. I almost always enter his office in pain and always leave with pain relief, either initially partially or total and almost always without the need for meds. His treatment is magic. He is one of the major reasons that we have not moved south upon retirement. I still remember my first visit. He entered the room and introduced himself as Dr. Colarusso and said, "Just call me Frank." That really impressed me. This doctor exudes warmth. My wife and I love him.

I saw Dr. Frank Colarusso, D.O. today after I sprained my foot on Sunday August 22, 2021 as I was attempting to turn on the bedroom light. On Wednesday August 25, 2021 I woke up sick. I caught COVID-19 and I did not know it and thought I had a sinus infection. To error on the side of caution I cancelled my appointment and rescheduled for Friday. On Friday morning I remained sick and was getting worse. The ladies at the front desk, especially Veronica, Ashley, and Brittney were very sympathetic and completely understanding that I needed to cancel another appointment with Dr. Colarusso. Again to error on the side of caution and to protect the entire office staff I cancelled and told the ladies that I would call back when I was feeling better. I had two hospitalization stays from August 29 to August 30 and Sept 13 to Sept 18, 2021. On Monday Sept 20, 2021 Dr. Colarusso called me to check on me and offer pain management over the phone. I finally saw Dr. Colarusso today. The BEST

Dr Frank Colarusso is AMAZING! He is professional & listens to me & my concerns at every visit. He cates about his patients. Explains everything so I can understand. He is always available if I have any concerns. I have lived with chronic pain for years without any success with other doctors, and now that he's my Dr, for the first time I am starting to feel relief from the pain! HIGHLY recommend him!! Front desk staff friendly and wait time very minimal!

Saw him as an emergency and now I know why I was able to get a next day appointment. He spent less than 3 minutes with me. Wouldn’t let me talk, said I needed surgery and left the room. No explanation, no other course of treatment. I was so upset I felt sick. I think he took pleasure in upsetting me, he said surgery with such glee. It was a very disturbing visit. A tech came in with scripts for PT and an MRI, threw a back brace on me (don’t know what that’s going to cost me) told her I had questions and she just looked at me. They asked at the desk when my next appointment would be. He didn’t address that in his 3 minute speed medicine assessment. Thankfully, I insisted on a different PT, not theirs, and a different MRI facility. This is an orthopedic financial mill. I’m still in shock. I don’t understand the five star ratings. Of course, during covid you are alone. I couldn’t walk and could barely keep from crying when I left. No one helped me out. The front desk staff was nice.

I have been a patient of Dr. Colarusso’s for the past several years and I am so grateful to have found him. I suffer from horrible migraines and severe back pain. I have been to other doctors and I’ve undergone various medical procedures or been given medication, but I never experienced long-term results. However, whenever I go see Dr. Colarusso and he works on me, I experience pain relief for several months. It is so hard to find a physical medicine and rehab doctor who does hands on body work. I am moving to Florida shortly and I have been searching for a doctor like Dr. Colarusso and they are almost impossible to find. I found a few but they are more than 60 miles away from where I will be living. I am trying to convince Dr. Colarusso to move to Florida so I can continue seeing him, but he is staying in NJ. If you experience pain (especially chronic pain), then you should definitely go see Dr. Colarusso. He is the best!

Warning!! Please do not see this doctor. If you do, bring a friend or family with you or take COPIOUS notes regarding your visit. He will not listen to you and will make false entries in your chart. Check your medical records to make sure his entries are reliable. Please stay away!!!

Excellent dr! I had the best experience with him. In one visit I feel a thousand times better. He is very friendly and listens to what you have to say. I have been in pain in my neck and shoulder for years and in one visit I feel so much better without any pain medication. I highly recommend him. Can't say enough of great things about him!

The wait time was over a hour, the Doctor had a I am too busy attitude, I had to adk the questions, my primary care Doctor was more help. The Doctor should focus on QUALITY,not the number of patients he can see in a day. VERY POOR SERVICE will not recomend.

Dr. Colarusso was terrible! He spent little time with me and acted as if my injury was a waste of his time. He diagnosed me with a tight hamstring when I had a herniated disc, which required surgery. He wouldn't give me any pain medication, he refused to send me for an MRI. On my 4th visit he finally sent me for PT, which is the only thing he did for me that proved of any value. The physical therapist took one look at me and knew it was disc related. She recommended I see another doctor.

I've had recurring pain in my right hip, leg, and lower back for the past several years. I've tried physical therapy and sought the advice of several doctors. I was still dealing with daily pain and eventually went to see Dr. Colarusso at MBO. I'm so happy with the expert, compassionate care that I've received from Dr. Colarusso and his staff. After several manipulations and one injection, I'm virtually pain free!

I went to see Dr. Colarusso for upper back pain as a result of moving heavy furniture. The pain had been annoying me for 2 months and was not improving. He performed a spinal manipulation to fix some of my vertebrae that were out of whack and I felt better almost immediately. He said I would only need to come back as needed if I continued to have pain. I went back a week later just to see how things were, but I am significantly better and it only took him 5 minutes to fix it! Very grateful!

I treat with several outstanding Doctors with Merced Bucks Orthopedic and have had an excellent experience with two of the surgeons. However, Dr Collarusso is not one of them! I was referred to him to begin treatment on my severely damaged spine and resulting pain issues. He gave the the bums rush on our initial visit. He did not listen to my condition or bother to x-ray my back before he gave me a horrible chiropractic adjustment. It was so painful I couldn't walk for several days afterward

During my pregnancy I developed a horrible pain and limp. I was told by my OB it was sciatica and would resolve upon delivery. This was not true and the condition rapidly got worse. Dr. Colarusso had diagnosed correctly and instantly fixed a long term injury I had had (that not a single doctor could fix or even diagnose correctly in 20 years), so I made my appointment with him. In less then 15 minutes I went from a painful limp to no limp or pain and have been rapidly healing. Thanks so much!
