Dr. Francis Teng, MD

I had a double inguinal hernia repaired a couple of weeks ago. Office staff was extremely helpful, walking me through pre-op and post-op procedures. Dr Teng is no-nonsense, straight to the point on all issues and questions. I was very comfortable with his confidence.

Several years ago Dr. Teng found numerous adhesions while repairing my hiatal hernia and performing another needed procedure, which caused him to spend hours longer in surgery than either of us expected. I still thank him for tending to duty and doing what’s right. I should have written this review long before now,. I would wholeheartedly recommend his expertise and work ethic.

Dr. Teng was very professional and fast in my Hernia surgery, it only took 45 minutes for the whole processing, that Hernia stayed with me over 20 years ,now I'm very happy for my new healthy life, Thanks Dr. Teng !

Dr Teng is by far an excellent surgeon and human being. He is always in good spirits which makes office visits and surgeries very comfortable. I had an inguinal hernia and umbilical hernia repaired with absolutely no issues whatsoever. His brother and sister are also part of his staff and are comedians just like him. Tina and the rest of the office staff are amazing and very attractive to say the least. Tina makes me laugh every time I come into the office and we joke around with each other which is rare these days. I actually have an appointment today which I’m excited to go to. I would recommend Dr. Teng for all of the procedures he provides with no worries at all. Love you guys!!!

He is very pleasant and caring. The staff in his office is very friendly and professional my visits were very pleasant. My hernia procedure was successful with no complications.

This is the first surgeon I have seen who takes his time talking to you and explains many things in detail. He has a true passion for his patients. You will not feel rushed with him as he cares about your well-being.

Watch out for the Costco cases of water! Watch out for the 50Lb bags of water softener salt! The result for me .... a Hernia. Dr. Teng's Advanced Surgical Care Practice quickly scheduled my appointment where Dr. Teng confirmed my condition. Four days later I completed the surgery under the care of the Summerlin Hospital Team and Dr. Teng and his surgical team. I vouch for and highly recommend the professionalism, the friendliness and support of Dr. Francis Teng's Surgical Office.

I had Hiatal Hernia surgery and have been having issues for years Dr. Teng was straight forward and to the point and did amazing on my surgery, its less than a month and i have never felt better. If there are any negative comments from what I observe is people forget the nurses are just doing their jobs and people forget that if they want kindness, they need to have it with them as well. They deal with high volume of patients, questions, insurance, and it can get stressful so having patience and understanding goes a long way. I have only witnessed amazing things from everyone including doc. He isn't a man that plays around he is VERY good at his job and delivers information clear but i have not witnessed anything but professional and knowledgeable. I am so happy i went to this office. 10 out of 10 i recommend. I'm so happy to finally not live in pain so young.

From the first visit with doctor Teng I was very pleased with the way he explained why I need the gall bladder removal. With patience and encouragement , he made me to understand that the surgery has to be done ASAP because the polyps grown in the gall bladder are over 7 cm long and could become cancerous .He answered to all my questions ,easy to understand..Dr Teng and his team made possible to have the surgery fast.I had the surgery and I had pain only in the first day after surgery.Everything went very well and I want to thank to dr,Teng and to all the surgery’s‘medical staff for their care and compassion.No problems ,no pain ,and the healing went perfect, I was in very good hands,.That why I will have other surgery planned with dr Teng for an esophageal hiatal hernia,.I trust Dr Teng..Excellence define him as a person and most important as a surgeon,

Dr. Teng called his coordinator right in the middle of my appointment. I appreciated that so much, he apologized profusely. I told him that as long as future patients do not have to go through what I did, I would be happy. He definitely is one of the last Drs that really care about patients wellbeing

I was referred to Dr. Teng for a large back lipoma removal. My initial visit was meeting the doctor, talking about what was needed to get my surgery scheduled. Dr. Teng was honest and straightforward which is appreciated in a true professional. To ensure this surgery happened, I lost a few pounds, cut out some bad habits and had heart testing completed. Finally I was good to go! (It took about a month). The office staff was thorough, friendly and great at follow up. My surgery was scheduled! Surgery day came and went so quickly- no complications, thoughtful choices from the doctor and fast and effective anesthesia. Went home, rested up (didn’t even need Rx painkillers) and the next day I was pretty much back to normal except for a few extra naps. By day three the pain was pretty much gone. Dr. Teng and his office are highly recommend and I now see why :)

Just had my 2nd surgery with Dr Teng and I am very pleased...again. The office staff gave me a lot of information, answered my questions and I felt very comfortable and safe knowing exactly what was going to happen. Doctor Teng and his staff at the hospital were efficient and direct, on time and the surgery outcome was perfect. Very happy and confident with doctor Teng and highly recommended him.

I had a great experience with Dr Teng and the entire staff. They run a tight and efficient office. To some it may feel rushed however the Dr and staff were friendly and on point. I had the procedure at Summerlin Hospital and everyone there were great

STAY AWAY ! STAY AWAY ! STAY AWAY ! If I could give him a -0 rating I would. Dr. Teng and his sister Tina at the front desk are the worst people I have ever encountered. The first visit was great then when I went for my follow up they were so degrading and I felt bullied. Dr. Teng kept interrupting me and talking to me like I was a little kid. He tried to convince me to do a surgery I did not want to do ! Then proceeded to walk me up to the front desk to his sister Tina To have her tell me I was wrong. He walked away laughing ! They are very unprofessional ! I have never experienced this kind of treatment before in my life and wouldn’t want anyone else to have to deal with what I dealt with ! I left in tears. As if you read the reviews many others have also. Everyone needs to be aware of this ! I don’t know How Dr. Teng is still practicing but if you know what’s best for you you will Steer clear of this clinic !

TERRIBLE & UNPROFESSIONAL .

My experience was terrible. I felt like he didn’t listen to me and insulted me. He bedside manner was horrendous. He was very confrontational & he made me immediately uncomfortable. Read his other reviews. He may have good surgical skills but I don’t think he’s a nice man and that’s important to me if you’re cutting me open. Look elsewhere.

I met with Dr. Teng and was impressed with our meeting, his view of the size of my Hernia, knowledge and honesty of what he thinks will or will not work. I was about to sign up for the procedure.  Next day I called to ask just one question: "whenever he has time this week to just answer this last one question, we'll move forward with the procedure".  An office Manager who was quite rude the day of my visit (I believe her name is Tina, incidentally Dr. Teng's sister, I believe), picked up the phone.  She was extremely rude, said that "I'm being very demanding" by asking ONE question and asking to call WHENEVER HE HAS TIME IN THE NEXT WEEK" and that he will only talk to me about it when I schedule a surgery. Then he can cover it during our pre-op meeting.  Her degree of complete lack of manners, compassion, or just basic tact is unlike anything I've ever experienced in the medical field.  It's shown not just in her choice of words, but her body language, tone of voice.  Then I read dozen

Dr. Teng was very attentive and caring when I went to see him after my breast cancer diagnosis. He was very knowledgeable and even called me twice to answer questions I had before my surgery. Dr. Teng’s staff was quick to help and efficient. I am now cancer free because of Dr. Teng’s expertise.

I went to Dr. Teng to have a hernia fixed. He performed a single port laparoscopic procedure to install the patch. The 40 minute procedure went very smoothly and I didn't have any significant pain when I woke up and never needed to use any of the opioids that were prescribed. I was able to get back to work that afternoon and was fully recovered a month later. I would recommend Dr. Teng to anyone else requiring hernia surgery.
