Very likely
I have had a wonderful doctor patient relationship. I have had other pulmonologists but never had the care I have had with him. I would recommend him anyone who needs his services. Very happy with his staff also.

Unkind
My father was sick in St. Catherine’s Hospital. Dr. Dipalo called to update myself and my family on my father’s condition. He was very unkind, short and rude with his update “he is sick I don’t know what else to tell you” is an exact quote from part of our conversation. I have been a critical care provider for years (a detail I left out of my conversation with him). He is lacking basic compassion as a human being and as a medical provider and seemed unwilling/disinterested in patient care. Would not recommend as a provider.

Just the facts: I had a lobectomy to remove a mass from my upper right lung on May 24. It is now July 26 and I have yet to hear from Dr. DiPalo or his office to see how I was doing or to have me make an appointment to meet with him. Draw your own conclusions…

I was recommended to Dr. DiPalo by another respected Dr. I know. I was hesitant to see him based on the reviews I read on online. I am so glad I did! I found him to be kind, patient and VERY thorough. I was impressed with his level of curiosity to understand what ails me and most important, finding a solution. I'm surprised to see the reviews. It certainly was not my experience. I highly recommend him!!!

Obnoxious, rude and inaccurate. My Mom saw him when she was a patient at St Catherine’s Hospital in Smithtown. He erroneously diagnosed her with congestive heart failure. After he was confronted about his inaccurate diagnosis he stormed out of hospital room refusing to answer my Mom’s questions.
