Horrible 'Doctor'
She is the opposite of what a qualified doctor is. Lacking knowledge, expertise, empathy, and personality qualifications. I am surprised she is even let to graduate the school and be certified to practice. Her degree should be investigated for authenticity.

Peacehealth fails.
Just a minor note -- when Dr. Martis left Peacehealth, they sent me a mail with literally the wrong first name (my name is Dan, they called me "Jim") telling me how great it was getting to know me.

I totally disagree with the above poor ratings and wonder if they are by the same person with a grudge. Dr.Martis listens well, reviews the records prior to the appointment, explains things well and cares about the concern at hand and the outcome. I've appreciated her professional and caring manner.

I recently moved from out of state and needed a new PC physician and prescriptions refilled. I will use similar words to another review above: I felt Dr. Martis was unsympathetic, and dogmatic about her views on pain management, which indicated she thought all my previous physicians were treating me incorrectly. She cannot be familiar with chronic pain and I had the uncomfortable impression that she didn’t give me any credit for knowledge of my condition, although I’ve managed it for decades, with lots of research and experience with a number of therapies. It’s “Do it my way or the highway approach,” which felt like a controlling attitude and not a collaborative one as with all my previous doctors. In the 15 minutes for an initial appointment (with little time to cover much at all), I left feeling very disconcerted and will be looking elsewhere!

Very disappointing. The bottom line, she doesn't care about the patient. I would not recommend her.

she helped me but I'm still waiting to see a GI doctor in Seattle because I'm a minor and they are not taking it seriously I've been waiting for 4 months to get my problem fixed.

Easily one of the worst doctors I've had the misfortune to be assigned to. (I signed up with my insurance for a completely different doctor. PeaceHealth gave me this dingbat.) She's Indian and has an intense dislike for anyone with state health insurance. She knows zero about allergies or how dangerous they are. She also has a huge chip on her shoulder and takes it out on her patients. It took me two months to get someone to fix the mistakes she made on my chart. She's dangerous.

Dr. Martis is a horrendous doctor. She has no experience with chronic pain patients whatsoever. She didn't believe what I was telling her and LITERALLY showing her what was going on with me in a huge pain flare up. She was dodging around points and not lilistening to me at all. She's stuck up and snooty. She had me physically prove to her that I was in pain all while she was exclaiming that I should be able to do these things even while I was in obvious pain. She had no manners or sympathy.

This is the first time I've ever thought of a doctor as "snotty". Normally doctors have made me feel as though they care and have a passion for helping. My impression of Francine was that she was a snob. I have a couple of medical issues that I'd like a doctor's care with, and so far she has done nothing to help. Currently, I have very little faith in her capabilities as a healthcare provider.

Dr. Martis is very young and of course along with this comes dogmatic commitment to ones ideals. I'm guessing Dr. Martis is unfamiliar with chronic pain, and as well as the unhelpful outposts in the Bellingham area that provide "pain management". I was hoping for pain management from Dr Martis, but unfortunately she was unable to provide this due to a misguided view (In my opinion) that this should be treated by yet another circus for this patient of forms, referrals. A real shame.

Dr Martis didn't listen to our concerns and wouldn't even support our request for a blood test for a hereditary condition that runs in our family. She had no interest in us as patients.

Dr. Martis has been a blessing to me and my family. We've all had a great experience with her and she takes the time to listen to issues we have. She's provided us with competent medical, which has been a challenge to find in Whatcom county. I would recommend Dr. Martis to friends and family (and I have).

She and her assistant are amazing. I moved here from out of state and needed to transfer to a new Dr. Her nurse made me feel so comfortable and told me how much faith she had in Dr Martis. She was right, all my concerns were put at ease. It's hard enough moving to a new state but finding a great Dr that was so knowledgable right away makes me even happier I made the move. She also referred me to all the right specialty Dr's I needed as well! Knowledgable, friendly and very competent.

Francine Martis is hands down the worst doctor I've been to! My GP retired so I was in search of a new family Dr. She marched in wearing hooker style high heels and gave the impression she was mad. She has no bedside manner whatsoever. She refused to renew my Rx for Lunesta unless I took a drug test and signed a patient agreement for Narcotics! I told her Lunesta is not a narcotic she said sign it or I'm not refilling it. She's a bully and I'm filing a complaint with the State of Washington.
